  1. goal

GOAL - Manchester City 4-1 Atalantapublished at 21:22 British Summer Time 22 October 2019

    Raheem Sterling (64 mins)

When the first ISS Pro came out on the PlayStation the ability to hold down triangle for a through ball was revolutionary.

Ilkay Gundogan has just played the sort of pass that Konami had in mind. Perfectlly weighted from the centre circle to send Raheem Sterling in down the left of the area, he's able to come past the last defender and smash into the back of the net.

  2. CLOSE!published at 21:22 British Summer Time 22 October 2019

    Tottenham 4-0 Red Star Belgrade

What a player Son is - bristling past two defenders, Harry Kane is free to his left but Son shoots - he's on a hat-trick - and hits the side-netting.

    Manchester City 3-1 Atalanta

Atalanta keep going, they're not here to shut up shop. Josip Ilicic moves the ball onto his right foot and powers in a shot but it's straight at Ederson.

It's rampant. Every time Tottenham attack I feel they're going to score. They had six players in the penalty box. Aurier got it on the right and could have played it to four or five quite easily. But at the heart of it was Harry Kane. What a wonderful pass out to Aurier in the first place.

It's an important goal for Lamela because he can be a little bit wasteful, so that will do his confidence a world of good.

There are pluses tonight everywhere for Tottenham, right across the pitch.

You don't just suddenly become a bad team. Spurs have a decent squad. Time they started to act like it. Prem League is bread & butter. Start doing it there.

GOAL - Manchester City 3-1 Atalantapublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 22 October 2019

    Raheem Sterling (58 mins)

Really good goal, again! Kevin de Bruyne is played away down the right, he chops inside a defender and lays it off to Phil Foden, who could score but instead taps it square to Raheem Sterling, who fires home from close range.

  8. goal

    Erik Lamela (57 mins)

He got there in the end!

Erik Lamela has been excellent tonight and it all comes from Harry Kane spraying a dreamy pass out wide. Serge Aurier cuts it back, Lamela is able to swivel and then batter a shot into the roof of the net.

Should be four! Son plays in Erik Lamela, great ball, the Argentine pushes a side-footed shot across goal...and wide.

The way things are at the moment a win's a win for Spurs, no matter who the opponent. Building confidence is key.

Uh-oh. more injury worries for City? Sergio Aguero needs the magic sponge after wearing a lusty challenge on the touchline.

He's OK though in the end.

Justsaying: Just talking to some Spurs fans. They're saying they not going to be comfortable about winning until they score five!

Red Star are not letting Tottenham build out from their goal kicks.

Already they look like they are playing higher up the pitch. They are almost playing in a 4-4-2.

They will leave gaps for Tottenham but you can see by the way Gazzaniga started Tottenham don't want to build up from their goal kicks, they want to kick long.

What a ball in! Harry Kane with a peach of a cross from the left, Erik Lamela doesn't anticipate the defender missing it and shins his volley over the top.

If only Kane could clone himself, Paul Rudd style, and get on the end of that.

Much more like it from Tottenham tonight, forwards as one. Son gets into the penalty area but his cross is cut out nicely.
