RB Leipzig have beat Zenit St Petersburg 2-1 thanks to a stunning 'trivela' from Marcel Sabitzer - think Benjamin Pavard at the World Cup.

That sends them top of Group G, temporarily at least. Lyon could go top if they beat Benfica shortly.

It's a brilliant result for Chelsea and you have to say, it's thoroughly deserved, not just because of the attitude and application of the players but in the balance of play.

They had a lot of opportunities, especially Hudson-Odoi in the first half, and again in the second for Batshuayi.

Khan Karn: How Lovren starts over Gomez is beyond me. Gomez has potential to be England's best CB. Also with Milner playing so well why does he not get a start in his preferred position. On form the best midfielder for Liverpool.

You feel there had to be a goal in this match. It was dying a bit of a death. The sting had gone out of it. Both teams had given so much.

But it was that piece of quality by Pulisic. He had the pace and the energy to go past someone, get to the byline and cut it back. And it's a tidy finish, I have to say.

    Never in doubt!

A proper bit of predatory striking as Christian Pulisic does brilliantly to skip into the area and pull the ball back across the six-yard box. Marcos Alonso steps over the ball and Michy Batshuayi, who missed that sitter a little earlier on, rifles in off the underside of the bar!
