  3. Who makes room for Kent?published at 23:10 British Summer Time 2 September 2019

    Rangers

Ryan Kent's imminent move from Liverpool to Rangers is shaping up to be one of the biggest deadline day deals.

The left-winger further bolsters Steven Gerrard's options on the flanks, with Jamie Murphy, Jordan Jones, Brandon Barker, Sheyi Ojo, Eros Grezda and Greg Stewart all capable of operating out wide.

Despite Jake Hastie's loan move to Rotherham United being confirmed earlier today, that seems like a lot of options for a maximum of two spots. Do Rangers have too many wingers?

  7. 'I watched Celtic on YouTube'published at 22:45 British Summer Time 2 September 2019

    Celtic

At just 18 years of age, Jeremie Frimpong hasn't got much experience of first-team football.

However, as he explains in his first remarks as a Celtic player, it was his extensive youth career that initally introduced him to the Scottish champions.

"We played Celtic’s Under-23s and it wasn’t long after that I found out Celtic were interested in signing me,” explains the young defender to Celtic TV. “That was incredible, and as soon as I heard, I was excited and I wanted to take this opportunity.

“I started going on YouTube to watch Celtic, and when they were on TV, I watched the games. I watched Sunday’s match against Rangers. What a game! Celtic were brilliant and deserved to win.

“Now I can’t wait to play at Celtic Park in front of the fans. Hopefully when I get on the pitch and do something good, I’ll hear the noise for me.”

  20. 'It's not a comparison between me and Tierney'published at 21:54 British Summer Time 2 September 2019

    Celtic

More snippets from Greg Taylor's first press conference at Celtic Park...

"It's a massive challenge of course but as a footballer you have to relish pressure. You are expected to win and it's one I look forward to."

When asked how it felt to be the man tasked with replacing Kieran Tierney, the new Celtic signing said: "Good question. Kieran has done amazing, he's done great things for this massive club and he's away to another big club to hopefully do great things again.

"Thankfully now I've got an opportunity that's presented itself and all I can do is what I can do. It's not a competition or a comparison it's up to me to impress then manager and hopefully that impresses the fans.

"You need competition. It improves every player. There are other players here, of course there will be. I'm not daft enough to think I'm walking into a jersey. It's up to me to earn the right to get that jersey."
