St Johnstone have already secured their top priority of a right-back with Celtic’s Anthony Ralston coming in as a replacement for recent departure Richard Foster.

The long term injury to David Gray is forcing Hibernian into the transfer market on deadline day.

Former Ross County and St Mirren full back Jason Naismith is on their wanted list. The former Scotland Under 21 International is currently with English League One side Peterborough United.

His arrival could also see one of the clubs brightest prospects go out on loan with Sean Mackie a target for Championship side Dundee.

  7. O'Hara arrives at Fir Parkpublished at 18:14 British Summer Time 2 September 2019

    Motherwell

    Scott Mullen
    BBC Scotland

    Told you one was coming...

Mark O'Hara has signed for Motherwell on a season-long loan from Peterborough. He's someone the club have been chasing for some time, and from memory he really impressed in midfield at Dundee. He could just be what the club need until David Turnbull is back fighting fit, if indeed he hangs about.

As things stand, I'd not expect a great deal more movement at Fir Park tonight. However, as the good lady will tell you, I'm often wrong.

Get Involvedpublished at 17:48 British Summer Time 2 September 2019

    Rangers

Rangers haven't confirmed the signing of Ryan Kent just yet but fans are already getting excited about the prospect. Get in touch with your throughts by tweeting us at @BBCSportScot, external.

Neil: "Would be a great signing. If they keep Morelos as well then they will be in some shape."

Dave: "Would be a dream come true and take some of the pain away from yesterday."

Ross: "Why did this not happen in time for yesterday's game? Rangers could have done with him against Celtic and he was twiddling his thumbs at Liverpool anyway!"

  14. Tanner leaves Motherwellpublished at 17:43 British Summer Time 2 September 2019

    Motherwell

Motherwell forward Craig Tanner has turned down the offer of a new contract and has decided to leave the Scottish Premiership club.

His contract was due to expire in June of this year, but Motherwell gave Tanner a short-term extension over the summer to complete his rehabilitation from an injury which kept him out of action for almost 15 months.

“We are disappointed Craig has chosen to leave, but we respect his decision,” manager Stephen Robinson said.

“It’s been a long road back to fitness for him and he’d done brilliantly well to get back onto the pitch and playing football again.

“We were keen to continue that push for match sharpness. But Craig has decided he’d rather continue his career elsewhere and we wish him all the very best of luck.”

Tanner is the second player to leave Motherwell today, with Adam Livingstone joining Morton on loan.

  15. Expect a quiet night at Pittodriepublished at 17:38 British Summer Time 2 September 2019

    Aberdeen

    Stephen Couse
    BBC Sport Scotland

There has already been plenty of drama on the Scottish deadline day, but after recruiting heavily throughout the window it seems Aberdeen’s transfer business for the summer is over.

James Wilson, Curtis Main, Craig Bryson, Ryan Hedges, Funso Ojo, Ash Taylor, Jon Gallagher, Greg Leigh and Zak Vyner all signed for the Dons over the summer, and Derek McInnes has indicated the recruitment drive is over.

While Scott McKenna has been linked with a move away from the club throughout the window, it appears there is little outgoing business either today – it is expected Stevie May will be the final departure after finally signing a two year contract with St Johnstone last week.

Keillor-Dunn is the seventh departure from Victoria Park this window, following the likes of Jamie Lindsay and Scott Fox out the door.

  17. Frear but no Broadfoot at Tannadicepublished at 17:29 British Summer Time 2 September 2019

    Dundee United

    Richard Winton
    BBC Sport Scotland

Dundee United are expecting a quiet night.

Elliot Frear is the only one who might join today. The former Motherwell winger has been training with the club and both parties are keen to conclude a deal, but that need not happen before midnight given he’s a free agent.

In terms of outgoings, Fraser Aird, Frederic Frans, and Osman Sow could potentially all be on the move.

Further to the news that Kirk Broadfoot has left Kilmarnock... there were suggestions over the weekend that he might be set to join Dundee United. I’m led to believe this is not the case.

  18. Sinclair not heading to Sunderlandpublished at 17:24 British Summer Time 2 September 2019

    Celtic

    Scott Mullen
    BBC Scotland

    SinclairImage source, SNS

The future of Celtic winger Scott Sinclair was largely overlooked the day before the English Premier League window closed with the departure of Kieran Tierney to Arsenal. Just before Celtic's away tie to Cluj, manager Neil Lennon hinted Scott Sinclair could also be on his way out of Glasgow.

That move didn't happen, but reports have linked the former Manchester City forward with Jack Ross' Sunderland. However, it looks like this isn't something that will happen this window.

  19. Any bruisers for "soft" and "pretty" Hibs?published at 17:19 British Summer Time 2 September 2019

    Hibernian

After Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Motherwell, Hibs manager Paul Heckingbottom wasted little time blaming his team's reluctance to get stuck in to opposing teams and show a little grit or determination.

So far this summer the Edinburgh side have failed to sign any obvious defensive midfielders, instead opting for creative or box-to-box players like Scott Allan and Josh Vela. But could that be about to change following Saturday's remarks?

  20. Rangers agree deal for Kentpublished at 17:14 British Summer Time 2 September 2019

    Rangers

    Jonathan Sutherland

Rangers have agreed a deal to sign winger Ryan Kent from Liverpool.

The 22-year old – who spent last season on loan at Rangers – will undergo a medical before completing his £7million move.
