Geoff Dragon: Really wasn't convinced when I saw Lovren in the starting XI, but he's had a great first half going about his business. It's great for Liverpool to have such great depth at centre back.

Anon: Sadio Mane, probably one of the Top 5 players in the World right now.

He seems so calm but it could be a tactic. It was a quite strange. There is something wrong there. His body language is all wrong. When you're on a bad run, the confidence grows. I don't know what is wrong, but it's far from right. He makes the point of saying he is the head coach not the manager so maybe that has something to do with it. You just know there is something missing.

  6. 'We must work harder'published at 15:53 British Summer Time 5 October 2019

    Brighton 3-0 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs forward Lucas Moura to BT Sport: “Today was a bad day for us. It was difficult at the beginning of the game as we lost our captain.

"We started the game really bad and Brighton played really well. We need to stick together, work hard and not speak too much.

"The second half was better but we didn’t find any space. We need to think about this game and stick together to overcome this.

"I don’t know what is missing. I’m sure we’ll find our best shape, we’ll work harder and get back our best football because we can do much better than this."

Can I say something controversial, that Adrian's distribution is better than Alisson's?!

    HT: Liverpool 1-0 Leciester

    Kevin Nolan
Former West Ham captain on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think Liverpool deserve the lead. They bossed the first 20-25 minutes.

I think Leicester have done quite well in terms of trying to keep Liverpool out and not giving them too many opportunities.

At this moment in time, I think it's about right that Liverpool are deserved leaders.

This is a tasty stat for people who like nice even numbers.

Sadio Mane has scored exactly 50 goals in 100 Premier League games for Liverpool.

He is the 10th player to reach the 50-goal landmark for the Reds - no other side has more.

  12. 'No-one is more worried than Coleman'published at 15:48 British Summer Time 5 October 2019

    Burnley 0-0 Everton

    Jon Walters
Former Burnley and Republic of Ireland midfielder on Final Score

There is no intent from Seamus Coleman at all but Erik Pieters is looking really in pain right now. There is no-one more worried that Seamus at the moment. I was there when he had that horrible injury [during the Republic of Ireland's game against Wales]. it was a similar tackle and you can see the concern on his face.
