  1. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 31 mins

    Brighton 1-0 Tottenham

Teenage Brighton striker Aaron Connolly takes a tumble in the box. He wants a penalty. Initially I thought Moussa Sissoko was just stronger than him but there was a hand in the back of the Irishman.

The referee Jon Moss isn't interested.

Lee: From the Champions League final to this. Seems absurd to say but a defeat and Pochettino will be hanging onto his job by his fingernails.

Spurs muster their first shot after 26 minutes but it's straight at Mat Ryan from distance by Christian Eriksen.

    Must do better.

Former Charlton Athletic defender on BBC Radio London

Tottenham for whatever reason seem to have lost their way. They just seem to be lacking in confidence. I still cannot think what Hugo Lloris was doing with that goal. It's awful he has had to go off and he looked in agony but I cannot understand his thinking. Why did he not just push it over the bar? I wonder what is going through Pochettino's brain right now.

More good football from Brighton. They're buzzing around in attack and are passing neatly. Martin Montoya gets in on the right side of the box but his cross is cleared by Tanguy Ndombele.

Hugo Lloris looked in a huge amount of pain after that goal. We'll update you as soon as we have any news on just how serious that injury is.

Vertonghen looks like he's taken one from Anthony Joshua. The eye is starting to close a little already.

After a check from the physio he's allowed to come back on, however.

Gene Mudi: How are the mighty fallen? Gradually, I think. Tottenham's squad needs proper rejigging!

Considering how much Pochettitno has turned Spurs around in recent years, how long does he get to try fix the issues ? Or does Levy start thinking about a replacement.

Two more players are down now. Jan Vertonghen looks to have come off worse in a clash of heads with Neal Maupay.

Oooft. The camera zooms in on the Belgian and he's got a shiner brewing already around his left eye.

Brighton certainly look the more comfortable on the ball. They move it from back to front but a good interception breaks the attack down.

    Kevin Kilbane
Former Republic of Ireland winger on Football Focus

I think even last season, there were problems at Spurs. I know they got to the Champions League final but things didn't look great.

You look at the form this season and of course it hasn't good but there's been a real lack of consistency in terms of the way they've been playing.

Spurs now do at least string a few passes together. Moussa Sissoko is playing high up the field at right-back, so high that he is flagged offside.

That Neal Maupay goal is only Brighton's sixth this season. The Frenchman has scored half of them.

Spurs haven't really been able to get their foot on the ball yet.

Spurs are all over the place. Moussa Sissoko gives away a daft free-kick and from the resulting cross Jan Vertonghen is floored by a powerful volley.

    The marking was non-existent.

I think it's a forearm or elbow injury for Lloris. He's carried from the field on a stretcher, still inhaling oxygen. It looks really serious. Hopefully it's not as bad as it looks.

We finally get back under way with Paulo Gazzaniga in the Spurs goal.

Lloris must have injured himself in the landing. This is turning into a long delay. There's a crowd of medical staff around him.

Paulo Gazzaniga will come on once Lloris can be carried off the field.
