FT: St Johnstone 0-4 Rangers
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has seen the replays of Steven Davis' controversial goal-line clearance and believes it was definitely not a goal.
Speaking to BT Sport, he said: "I think Steven Davis has done tremendously well on both occasions. When the viewers see the first angle it does look like it's in but when you see the one that goes right across the line it's 100% not a goal.
"I think that sums Davis' performance up. He was my man of the match. Ryan Jack followed him really close. We've got good players in good form at the moment and it's great to see."

Quote MessageThere's a debate among Celtic fans as to where Ryan Christie's best position is. Personally, I think he is better in that No.10 role in behind Odsonne Edouard rather than playing out on the wing.

Jonny Hayes comes on for Olivier Ntcham as Neil Lennon freshens up his Celtic side. The Premiership leaders hold a two-goal advantage as we approach the final 15 minutes at Celtic Park.
FT: St Johnstone 0-4 Rangers
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard praised Alfredo Morelos following the Colombian's 12th goal of the season.
Speaking to BT Sport, Gerrard said: "He's in terrific form. I thought on Thursday night for the majority of the game he was unplayable. That's the reason I kept him in.
"It's always tempting to make the change when you've got Jermain Defoe there, but while he's like this we need to keep him on the pitch because he's such a threat. He had a fantastic chance in the first half and nearly got us the breakthrough then.
"While he's on the pitch you always know that if he keeps getting in the right places he's going to find the back of the net."
Celtic 3-1 Kilmarnock
Eamonn Brophy is proving a thorn in Celtic's side this afternoon. The Kilmarnock number 9, already with a goal to his name, forces flying wardrobe Fraser Forster into a fingertip save to deny the visitors a second goal.

Quote MessageYou couldn't deny Rangers their three points, even though they had a couple of contentious decisions. I don't know what Steven Gerrard's half-time team talk was but it must have been something like 'Let's get the attitude right' because they really turned it on in the second half

Quote MessageLaurentiu Branescu is so unlucky. What a save from the keeper to keep James Forrest's header out and then there's Ryan Christie to follow it up and knock it into the empty net.

BBC Scotland at McDiarmid Park
A classic game of two halves: Rangers were sluggish in the first, the very opposite in the second.
Steven Gerrard's half-time team talk appeared to do the trick, as the visitors threatened to run over the top of the Perth side after the break. Their big-game players stepped up to the plate and delivered what was a comfortable - and crucial - win.
As for St Johnstone, things could perhaps have been different if Allan McGregor hadn't foiled Michael O'Halloran at the end of the first half .... Saints must just lick their wounds and move on.
Celtic 3-1 Kilmarnock
Odsonne Edouard has turned this game on its head. With Celtic trailing to a superb Eamonn Brophy strike, the Frenchman's double nudged Celtic in front, before Ryan Christie increased their lead.
Ryan Christie
Celtic extend their lead as James Forrest heads Boli Bolingoli's cross straight at Branescu who can only parry it and Ryan Christie fires home from close range.
Odsonne Edouard
It's an eighth goal of the season and a second of the afternoon for Odsonne Edouard as the strikerputs Celtic ahead.
The predatory Frenchman bends his run to collect a pass in the box before thundering a shot beyond Branescu. The league leaders have come from behind to lead at Celtic Park.

Quote MessageWhen the game is this open and you are leaving space to try and get a goal then you're playing risky football. When a player with the quality Defoe has gets in the box with the ball then there's usually only one outcome. He's that type of player that can absolutely ruin you.
Celtic 1-1 Kilmarnock
Olivier Ntcham forces a fabulous stop from Laurent Branescu with a curling effort that the Kilmarnock keeper tips behind. From the resultant corner, the ball is played back to Ryan Christie whose cross evades everyone and almost creeps in at the back post.

We're back under way at Celtic Park.
A comprehensive victory for Rangers on the back of an impressive second half display. Goals from Alfredo Morelos, Connor Goldson and a Jermain Defoe double the difference between the two sides.

Quote MessageSteven Davis has made two of the best goal-line clearances that you'll ever see. It was ruthless from Rangers after that double attempt from St Johnstone.
Jermain Defoe
Those of a St Johnstone persuasion, look away now. Rangers substitute Jermain Defoe is on a hat-trick as he hammers home his second and Rangers' fourth goal with the St Johnstone defence scattered like skittles.
