  1. HALF-TIME St Johnstone 0-1 Motherwellpublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 28 September 2019

St Johnstone came in to this one needing a rare win to lift their spirits and their league position. It has never looked like coming.

Apart from a tame Murray Davidson and Scott Tanser's low shot, the hosts in Perth have been way off it. The sparse crowd inside McDiarmid Park don't look impressed.

As for Motherwell, their lead is well deserved. Stephen Robinson looked absolutely horrified when Devante Cole somehow - even he may not know how - scooped the ball over the bar from two yards. However, the former Manchester City man made up for it with a tap in soon after.

Already it looks a tough ask for Saints, but, as Motherwell proved last weekend, blowing a 1-0 lead is not beyond them...

  2. HALF-TIME St Mirren 0-0 Heartspublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 28 September 2019

Tony Andreu wheeled off in celebration after netting for St Mirren, but linesman Douglas Ross spoiled the celebrations as the Frenchman was ruled offside.

Hearts substitute Christophe Berra had a couple of chances well saved by Vaclav Hladky, but Hearts have been thrown off by injuries. Craig Halkett limped off and was replaced by Berra, and Craig Levein will be concerned by the sight of Loic Damour going off holding his hamstring. Andy Irving replaced the Frenchman.

This match has been every bit as good as I expected it to be. Not a lot in it as the scoreline suggests, but at least we’ve had a couple of goals. That late first-half equaliser for Accies takes the edge off the discontent among the home fans but not to the extent that they give referee Steven McLean an easy time of it as he heads up the tunnel.

  5. HALF-TIME Rangers 2-0 Aberdeenpublished at 15:49 British Summer Time 28 September 2019

A James Tavernier penalty and a Greg Stewart goal against his former club gives Rangers a comfortable half-time lead.Steven Gerrard's side are on course to move seven points clear of the Dons - and just one point behind leaders Celtic.

  6. HALF-TIME Kilmarnock 0-0 Ross Countypublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 28 September 2019

    BBC Sport Scotland

Ross County will be the happier of the two sides at Rugby Park. Kilmarnock could be two or three up but a combination of fine goalkeeping from Ross Laidlaw and the woodwork have kept the hosts out.

This one shouldn't finish 0-0...but as goalless draws go, I have to say, this is pretty decent, and that’s from someone who’s usually pretty hard to please.

Both teams are trying to do things the right way; the ball is where it should be, on the deck (ideally on grass but that may not be the case for a while at certain grounds in Scotland), chances are being created (largely for the home side so far), and if things carry on in the same vein, it shouldn’t be too long before someone’s net ripples.

On the balance of play so far, you’d expect that to be Killie, but this game has a way of slapping you in the chops if you don’t take your chances. More of the same, plus a goal or two, would do nicely after the interval.

    Blair Alston

The hosts have pulled a goal back against the run of play with a well-worked set-piece. A long throw came in from the left side-line and after a bit of a stramash in the Livingston six-yard box Blair Alston is on hand to tap home the rebound from a few yards out.

Christophe Berra's volley from the middle of the box is well saved by Vaclav Hladky. The Hearts defender had plenty of space but the Czech goalkeeper matched the strike.

  13. Motherwell miss againpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 28 September 2019

    St Johnstone 0-0 Motherwell

Another close-range miss for Motherwell as Declan Gallagher's header from the right side of the six yard box slips wide from a set piece. Are The Steelmen going to manage to hit the back of the net?

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:40 British Summer Time 28 September 2019

    Rangers 1-0 Aberdeen

A glimmer of hope for Aberdeen as Connor McLennan picks up on some slack defending, but his 30-yard shot flies over the bar.

Then Rangers have a chance to double their lead as Scott Arfield turns a defender and has a powerful effort saved by Joe Lewis at his near-post.

  15. A 'very watchable' stalematepublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 28 September 2019

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Ross County

    Kheredine Idessane
BBC Sport Scotland at Rugby Park

Very watchable match, this. Kilmarnock will feel a tad hard done by to not to be ahead. Rory McKenzie smacked an effort off the post, Liam Millar shot just wide, Osman Sow made the County keeper work hard to keep a long range effort out; while Alex Bruce did the same from a header from a free kick.

You get the drift... it’s been pretty much one way traffic so far in the first half. That despite a very bright opening from County for whom Michael Gardyne could have scored in the opening minutes, and Tom Grivosti knocked a header over from a corner.

As nil-nils go, this is pretty decent. Both teams trying to play the right way and Kilmarnock growing into the game nicely.

  16. On the edge in Paisleypublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 28 September 2019

    St Mirren 0-0 Hearts

    Jonathan Sutherland
BBC Sport Scotland at Simple Digital Arena

Boiling nicely between St Mirren and Hearts. So many talking points already - was Tony Andreu offside when he rifled the ball into the corner of the net? Should Hearts have been awarded a penalty when Ryo Meshino went down in the box? In the here and now an entertaining game in Paisley with a real edge to it.

    * Yes, by a distance, and no are the answers from my colleague watching a feed of the game.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:32 British Summer Time 28 September 2019

    St Johnstone 0-0 Motherwell

Scott Tanser almost manages to give St Johsntone the lead after two chances already as he fires a shot from just outside the box aimed at the bottom right corner of the net, but Mark Gillespie manages to get a vital touch.

  18. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 28 September 2019

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Ross County

Killie should be ahead by now.

Rory McKenzie times his run well and is through one-on-one with Ross Laidlaw. His effort beats the goalkeeper, but cannons back off the post and away to safety.

  19. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 28 September 2019

    St Mirren 0-0 Hearts

Tony Andreu has the ball in the back of the net, but it's chalked off eventually by the linesman for offside. The St Mirren players wheel off in celebration but the joy is short-lived.
