Let's conduct a very unscientific half-time poll. Was Willie Collum right to send off Ryan Christie?
Hit thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no.

Quote MessageI wonder if Gary Holt might go to a 4-4-1-1 formation to really stretch the game and ask Celtic questions. They might fancy taking three points now rather than the one.

Assuming Ryan Christie is out of the running for the man of the match, who has performed well in the first half? Tell the world, I'm away for a biscuit. Back in three...
Livingston 0-0 Celtic
A loud blast from Willie Collum brings this opening half to a close. We've got plenty to dissect at the interval...
A handful of chances at either end and Livingston are acquitting themselves really well, with Scott Robinson, Jon Guthrie and Stevie Lawless all having efforts on goal.
Odsonne Edouard forced Matija Sarkic into action in the home net, while Callum McGregor and Kristoffer Ajer have also come close.
No doubt about the big talking point, though - Ryan Christie sent off after 26 minutes for a horrible studs-first lunge on Robinson.
As you can see, he just about sent the Livi midfielder into orbit...
Livingston 0-0 Celtic
A solitary minute of added time at the end of a tumultuous first half.
Livingston 0-0 Celtic
Oh my, Marvin Bartley, who did not score in four years at Hibernian, almost stabs in the opener. The ball breaks to him a couple of yards out from a long throw, but he can't squeeze the ball under Fraser Forster, and play is brought back for a Celtic free-kick.

Quote MessageLivingston have not allowed Celtic to boss the game whatsoever. Celtic have better technical players, so you try and eliminate that by giving yourself a bit of an advantage. Celtic haven't stood up to it.
Livingston 0-0 Celtic
This photo paints a fairly damning picture of that Ryan Christie tackle. Robinson has just swung to kick the ball away as Christie lunges forward with his studs raised.
That's going to hurt...

Our esteemed stats man is crunching the numbers on just how important Ryan Christie is to Celtic.
Livingston 0-0 Celtic
Celtic threaten again, Callum McGregor racing into the box and seeing his deflected shot ripple the side netting.
Livingston 0-0 Celtic
There's the response from Celtic. The towering Kristoffer Ajer comes steaming forward from deep, latching on to a neat Boli Bolingoli ball, before prodding at Matija Sarkic.
The big centre-back couldn't quite get the ball out from under his feet to generate enough power.

Quote MessageIf he's hit Robinson on the shin then it's probably the right decision, but tt didn't look like Christie was going in to smash him.
Livingston 0-0 Celtic
Now Celtic's mettle will come under serious examination. Down to 10 men for over an hour, on an unfamiliar surface, against a team who snap and snarl and run all day.

Quote MessageThat's a game-changer. I think Neil Lennon will try and adapt the shape here, which changes Celtic's tactics.

Quote MessageWillie Collum has got that absolutely spot on. A straight red is all that he could give there. You simply can't defend Ryan Christie for that challenge.
Livingston 0-0 Celtic
Oh dear, that's an awful tackle from Ryan Christie, who lunges at Scott Robinson with his leg outstretched and studs showing.
Robinson is swinging his leg to kick the ball, and gets Christie's studs right on the shin. That's going to hurt.
Wilile Collum sprints over to the scene and is brandishing the red card in the blink of an eye. It looks very much like the correct call.
Livingston 0-0 Celtic
We're seeing some delightful slow-motion replays of Marvin Bartley torpedoing into Odsonne Edouard, winning the ball brilliantly. We all love a good slide tackle and that was a belter.
Then Ricki Lamie gets penalised for catching Moritz Bauer in the air.
Not a lot in this so far...

Quote MessageHow often have we covered Celtic games and not spoken about Ryan Christie? It's credit to Livingston that he hasn't been in the game.
