  1. CLOSE!published at 12:19 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

A flurry of chances at either end as Lawless zips a low shot from the edge of the box that Fraser Forster gets down well to smother.

Then Celtic go galloping away and Odsonne Edouard gets his first sight of goal. Christopher Jullien is haring in at the back post but Edouard goes it alone, and Matija Sarkic parries behind.

You need to make sure in these games if you get set pieces that you make the most of them.

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

That's poor. Lawless is better than that. All it needed was to be placed into that area where Crawford was rather than putting pace on it.

  4. Wasteful Livipublished at 12:16 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

Deary me, that's a shocking free-kick from Livingston and a big chance to hurt Celtic squandered.

Christopher Jullien is penalised for hand-ball down Celtic's left under pressure from Scott Robinson. Stevie Lawless steps up to whip in the delivery, but balloons it all the way to the far side and out for a throw-in. Grim stuff...

  6. CLOSE!published at 12:13 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

Cracking stuff from the Livingston defenders. Nicky Devlin bamboozles Ryan Christie down the right and fizzes in a lovely low ball for centre-back Jon Guthrie.

The big man's first-time effort is slightly miscued and bobbles wide of the near post.

    Quote Message

Forrest and Edouard are so quick going forward, the speed of their passing and when they are running on the ball, it's something Livingston will need to deal with.

Guthrie, Bartley and Lamie have taken turns about on Edouard, they've been physical with him.

  10. CLOSE!published at 12:08 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

Almost immediately, Celtic blaze down the other end. Their football, when they get it going, is so slick and incisive.

Odsonne Edouard slaloms into the box and squares for James Forrest, who prods just wide.

  11. Dangerous Dykespublished at 12:07 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

Already, Lyndon Dykes is proving an utter pest to the Celtic defence. He managed to burn deep into away territory before finding Scott Robinson, who cuts inside but sees his shot blocked.

  12. Postpublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

Pretty scrappy opening as Ricki Lamie slices a pass high into the stands under no pressure, then Marvin Bartley takes a skelp in the chops from Odsonne Edouard.

The big midfield destroyer will need a wee bit of medical attention on his nose.

  13. Dykes v Jullien?published at 12:00 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston 0-0 Celtic

    Quote Message

I can see Lyndon Dykes pulling on to Christopher Jullien more than Kristoffer Ajer. Dykes is quick, but Ajer is quick as well. I think it'll be an intriguing battle up there.

  15. Here we gopublished at 11:59 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

The teams emerge into the autumnal West Lothian drizzle, Celtic huddle up, and we're almost ready to go.

    Livingston v Celtic (12:00)

    James McFadden

    Quote Message

Livingston's form, a run of four straight defeats, doesn't reflect their performances. Maybe it's a bit of luck they need to get that run of games going to try and get further up the table.

  17. 'Leigh needs to be 100%'published at 11:57 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston v Celtic (12:00)

    Neil McCann
Former Scotland winger on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

The problem Leigh has got is playing time. He doesn't strike me as the person that wants to play reserve-team football, he wants to score goals. He needs people around him to encourage him, he needs to be 100% and I'm not sure Leigh is in that position. To put him out on loan would be an ideal scenario but I'm not sure Celtic are in that position.

  18. No loan looming for Griffithspublished at 11:57 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston v Celtic (12:00)

Lennon also offered an injury update on Leigh Griffiths. The Scotland striker hasn't featured since late August.

"Leigh has got a thigh injury, he was doing some fitness work on Friday and he felt the quad again," the Celtic boss said. "He’s got a bit of work to do to get back up to full fitness. This is the problem, when you’re a little bit out of condition you can pick up these niggles. He's got a programme now, targets that are set, and he has to try and get there before we’ll see him again."

Lennon stressed with only two senior strikers in his squad, Griffiths will not be loaned out in January if he is fully fit.

"By the time January comes around I’d like to think he’ll be at full fitness. When he’s fit, he’s a goal threat. Certainly, if he’s fit, I’ll have no intention of putting him out on loan anywhere," he added.

  19. Celtic win 'non-negotiable' - Lennonpublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston v Celtic (12:00)

Celtic manager Neil Lennon explains his team selection today, which features a solitary change at right-back with Moritz Bauer replacing Hatem Elhamed.

"Moritz Bauer is a bona fide right-back who will get forward and cross the ball, which is what we’ll need today," Lennon tells BBC Radio Scotland. "Hatem is more defensive-orientated, stronger. Moritz has done excellently in the games he’s been involved in so we had no hesitation putting him in.

"I don’t know how long Livingston have had the plastic pitch but they had back-to-back promotions before it was laid so they were doing something right. They’ve got great spirit, bundles of energy. The rain will help, hopefully speed the pitch up a bit, but we’re going to have to work hard and play well.

"There are plenty of physical challenges in the Scottish game. I think Livingston play the game the right way, they’re a great story. Over-physical? Same as any other team, really.

"It’s non-negotiable today that we come away with three points. Our mental approach has to be strong, we have to start well."

  20. Jacobs hits 300 markpublished at 11:47 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

Keighan Jacobs has been a tremendous servant to Livingston. He's not just a worker but he's a good footballer. His delivery from set plays is excellent and it's tremendous that he can reach 300 games for one club.
