  1. Celtic's goal glutpublished at 11:45 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston v Celtic (12:00)

Celtic have been positively ravenous in their pursuit of goals this season, averaging more than three per game across their seven Premiership outings.

They've only conceded five goals in that time and Cluj are the only team to beat them in 19 competitive outings.

  2. Four in a rowpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston v Celtic (12:00)

Livingston have lost four games on the bounce, their most recent win coming against St Mirren on 31 August.

The opposition in that time has been pretty stiff - two encounters with Rangers, one with Aberdeen - but last weekend's shipping of a lead in defeat by Hamilton Academical will rankle.

By and large, Livi have performed well in those matches, particularly in the Premiership and League Cup showdowns with Rangers, but have failed to convert pressure into goals.

Can they inflict a first domestic loss of the season on Neil Lennon's Celtic?

  3. 'Come and earn your crust' - Holt on workmanlike Livipublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston v Celtic (12:00)

Livingston manager Gary Holt explains his decision to swap goalkeeper on BBC Radio Scotland: "I just felt big Matija Sarkic deserves his chance.

"Ross Stewart has been doing okay for us, better than okay in some games, but in the last few weeks his performances have dipped slightly. He’s young and sometimes it’s best to take him out of the firing line and let him improve. You’ve got to be fair to them all.

"We come to work every day – the environment we set is a working environment, come and earn your crust. Everyone knows they have to put a shift in. That’s how they get results. We make it as uncomfortable as possible here, we get in people’s faces and we make it difficult."

  5. 'This game is dangerous'published at 11:22 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston v Celtic (12:00)

Celtic manager Neil Lennon said on Friday: "The game is dangerous. It is a difficult tie, Livingston away. We know that goal-scoring opportunities are at a premium.

"We played on the plastic at Hamilton, played well but only got the one goal. They are a great example of clubs with a good spirit, who are well organised with hungry players. It is important that we do win the game.

"There is a two-week [international] break coming up as well so, psychologically, it would be good to go into the break with another win."

  6. 'Maybe I'll partner Shankland up front with Scotland one day'published at 11:19 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston v Celtic (12:00)

Ahead of today's game, Livingston striker Lyndon Dykes, who returns to the starting XI this afternoon, spoke to BBC Scotland's Thomas Duncan about how he has gone from working in an Australian factory to churning out top performances in the Scottish leagues.

"Friends, coaches, school teachers would try and give me a kick up the a*** and say I can become something and make a living out of it," he recalls.

"I wasn't committed; I was too comfortable enjoying myself. And it just switched one day and I thought, 'I need to put my head down and just try here'."

  8. Bauer powerpublished at 11:12 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston v Celtic (12:00)

Neil Lennon has become a stickler for consistency in his starting line-ups this season and today's team is no different, with the Celtic manager opting for an almost identical side to the one that overcame CFR Cluj in the Europa League on Thursday.

His only change comes at right-back as Hatem Abd Elhamed drops to the bench, and is replaced by on-loan Moritz Bauer.

  9. Livingston without captain Lithgowpublished at 11:10 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Livingston v Celtic (12:00)

Gary Holt has made no fewer than four changes to the side that threw away a one-goal lead against Hamilton and lost all three points in a 2-1 defeat last Saturday.

Captain Alan Lithgow and goalkeeper Ross Stewart are the most notable absentees, with Jack Stobbs and Aymen Souda also dropping out. Matija Sarkic, Jack McMillan, Keaghan Jacobs and Lydon Dykes come in.
