Newcastle boss Steve Bruce makes two changes from the 1-1 home draw against Wolves - and it is the Longstaff brothers who make way.

Sean's absence is enforced after he was sent off last weekend, while younger sibling Matty drops down to the bench.

That enables Jonjo Shelvey to make his first start since the end of September, with Isaac Hayden also coming back in for the first time since that red card at Leicester.

Former Hammers striker Andy Carroll is back on the bench after injury.

Aston Villa v Liverpool (15:00 GMT)

    Phil Dawkes
    BBC Sport at Villa Park

    Villa Park

Even after it has been battered by wind and rain, Villa Park impresses.

League-leaders Liverpool are in town today for the Steve Staunton Derby. It is one of the fixtures that Villa fans will have missed during their two-year absence from the top-flight. It's probably no gauge by which to judge Villa's renewed suitability for the top-flight, but it does give them the opportunity to give the league's best side a bloody nose.

The Reds will be hoping to carry their current six-point advantage over Man City into next week's Mega Powers Explode at Anfield.
