  1. 'This should open the game up now'published at 17:55 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2019

    Everton 0-1 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Everton and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

How fitting is it that the goal comes from an awful - actually beyond awful - piece of play? he was under no pressure and he passed it straight to Tottenham. If you are going to pass it back in your own half you have to do it with care. Good goal by Dele Alli, calm and precise. This should open the game up now.

    Dele Alli

    Big goal for Tottenham!

Sloppy from Alex Iwobi as he gives the ball away and Son Heung-min quickly finds Dele Alli, who cuts inside a defender before hitting a low shot beyond Jordan Pickford's reach.

    Sensational save!

Paulo Gazzaniga reacts quickly to pluck Richarlison's powerful first-time shot out of the air. That looked like a goal all the way until Gazzaniga somehow got to it.

    Best chance of the game.

Dom Breslin: Football has got VAR so badly wrong - getting decisions right is what every player & fan wants. But this is a shambles.

Michael Ball: So VAR says that's less of a penalty than Mane v Leicester a few weeks back? The system just doesn't work.

Chris Wilder and Alan Knill are here on a scouting mission with Tottenham Sheffield United's next opponents. Not sure his side have too much to fear based on this showing, although Spurs will hope to have Harry Kane back for that game.

Luke: Madness Spurs fans want Poch gone. Without Poch Spurs would still be the mid-table team they had been for the 30 years before he arrived.

What Dele Alli has done in recent times to justify a starting Role for Spurs? Granted he's not the only player who's poor for them at the moment but he's certainly not this 'World Class Midfielder' everyone was hyping him up to be 2/3 seasons ago.

  11. CLOSE!published at 55 mins

    Everton 0-0 Tottenham

Christian Eriksen fires a free-kick into the box and it runs through to Ben Davies at the far post but the full-back opts to head back into the middle of the box rather than go for goal and Everton clear.

  12. 'I think it's a penalty'published at 17:43 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2019

    Everton 0-0 Tottenham

    Pat Nevin
Former Everton and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think there was contact there. I would be tempted to give that because there is contact. Was there enough to make him go down like that no but that's not the question. It's the most ridiculous tackle but they clearly have to check that. They've decided no penalty but I think it's a tight call. It's not clear and obvious but there was contact.

  13. No penaltypublished at 53 mins

    Everton 0-0 Tottenham

And, for the second time, no penalty is confirmed. Not sure what happened there.

That must be so confusing for the fans in the stands.

  19. 'The gamble caused the second goal'published at 17:32 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2019

    FT: Crystal Palace 0-2 Leicester

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson for Match of the Day: "I thought it was a tight game, we know how dangerous they can be. We were not biting our nails on the touchline and worrying that they were going to score many goals. Even when we let one we still had chances. We tried to change it which unfortunately gave them more possession and the gamble caused the second goal and it was too late to.

On lack of scoring goals: "We have not scored as many goals as we would like. The lads are doing their best but it’s nothing different to the last few seasons. I don’t think scoring lots of goals is something we are going to boast at the minute."

  20. 'We take pride in the team today'published at 17:31 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2019

    FT: Crystal Palace 0-2 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers speaking to Match of the Day: "I have great pride with the team today. You need to be strong mentally when you come to teams like this. Roy sets his teams up well and you know when your chances come you have to take them and we did. It’s also another clean sheet and that’s so important."

On Caglar Soyuncu: "He is getting better all the time. He has a consistent run in the team now. He is very aggressive the type of defender I like. I am delighted for him and the team. Some of our combination play was rally good."

On being third: "We could have been quicker on the ball. We have not beaten Palace in four games so it was really good to get the win. If you want to be a top side you have to be able to keep the ball, be able to play against teams who sit deep and then be able to counter. We are growing and improving every game which is pleasing. I always think to attack well you need to be able to defend well. It’s very important to be as creative as we want but we take pride in being able to press well as well. The players deserve a huge amount of credit. The supporters are enjoying watching the team. We are not getting carried away but we have made a good start."
