  1. Why 3-5-2 could hold key for Pep Guardiola's sidepublished at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November 2019

People are asking: 'How do you beat this Liverpool team?.

Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock explains how Jürgen Klopp's side have had big problems when they have come against teams using a 3-5-2 formation.

Using a 3-5-2 formation against Liverpool's 4-3-3 shape allows your two centre-forwards to run in behind, either on the left of the Reds' defence in the channel between Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson, or on the other side, in the area around Van Dijk's centre-back partner and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

That stops Liverpool's full-backs from advancing and closing down their opposing wing-back.

So far, Klopp has always found a way, but he has not taken on a team as good as City so far this season.

Just been watching that Ruben Neves goal again.

Why leave a player who is deadly from that range all alone at the edge of your penalty area?

That's Neves' 11th goal out of 14 for Wolves from outside the box.

Manchester United started ever so well, but Brighton will be disappointed because United have not earned their goals.

It has been easy and comfortable for Manchester United so far, they have been in second gear.

But Brighton could get back into this game with a set-piece.

    Wolves 1-0 Aston Villa

Matt Targett has been struggling with that knock he appeared to pick up in the earlier tangle with Matt Doherty and he can't continue. Probably a good thing for him and Wolves because he has been a booking, and probably worse, waiting to happen. On comes Neil Taylor.

Marcus Rashford and then his manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, offered fourth official Kevin Friend a few thoughts just then.

Rashford was booked by referee Jon Moss.

The Manchester United forward evidently felt the decision was harsh - and that Friend was to blame.

    Man Utd 2-0 Brighton

Brandon Williams has been very solid on his first Premier League start. Manchester United fans can't have any complaints with his performance.

One person who does have a complaint is Brighton forward Neal Maupay, who reacts angrily to getting a slight push on the back from Williams as the two chase a ball that goes out of play.

Crucial intervention by Lewis Dunk as he heads away a cross with Marcus Rashford lurking right behind him.

    Ruben Neves (42 mins)

    It's been coming!

A lovely move from a free kick catches Aston Villa flat footed as João Moutinho squares the ball across the edge of the box to Ruben Neves, who steers a first-time shot into the far corner.

    Man Utd 2-0 Brighton

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

A long time to go yet but it looks like Manchester United are heading for a fifth win in six games in all competitions.

That represents a return to the form they were in before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was confirmed as permanent United manager in March.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 10 November 2019

    Wolves 0-0 Aston Villa

Diogo Jota charges into the area but gets the ball trapped under his feet as he attempts to go for the shot, allowing Orjan Nyland enough time to slide in and clear the danger.

Tyrone Mings then goes in the book after cleaning out Adama Traore. That's Villa's third booking of the half.

Matthew Goodwin-Freeman: With the VAR debate and how long it takes, would it be as much an issue if football had start-stop clocks like Rugby/Hockey etc?

That way having the video-feed on the big screen wouldn't be a distraction as the game would be paused.

Shane Duffy stops Marcus Rashford's latest run by putting his back in the forward's way and Rashford appears to be winded as a result. After a bit of water and a breather Rashford is able to carry on.

So he is start becoming that complete midfielder.
