Andy White: West Ham defending is questionable but the goalkeeper is unquestionably one of the worst I have seen in a long time.

Andy: Think Roberto has to be up there as one of the worst keepers in the premier leagues history. Doesn't even look like a keeper, has no mobility or reflexes at all.

Colin: Someone please take the West Ham goalkeeper off the pitch..18 goals past him in the last 7/8 games. What a shocker!

Roberto is all over the shop. He comes out to meet the free-kick and gets barely nothing on his punch before then diving bizarrely near his penalty spot to palm at a shot that was already going wide.

David Martin watches on, wondering if his time is soon to come.

Oh, that's a bit naughty from Ryan Fredericks. He has just gone right through Son Heung-min, sliding in and catching the South Korean, who needs treatment.

If Diop's nothing challenge was a yellow card earlier, that probably warrants a prison sentence.

  4. 'Roberto should have done better'published at 13:09 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2019

You would have sensed since four minutes that Spurs were just jabbing their opponents.

They quickly won the ball back and then that’s were Son is so effective, playing on those wide areas. But Roberto should have done better.

That was a bit more vintage Dele Alli, not his imposter brother. He found space on the edge of the box and fed a lovely little ball for Son. You know, like he used to do.

    Son Heung-min

    Lift off!

The first goal of the Jose Mourinho era at Spurs comes from a familiar source. Son Heung-min is alert to collect the pass from Dele Alli and skillful enough to find a yard and lash a shot essentially through Roberto, who might as well not have been there.

Jose is out of his seat and punching the air.

    West Ham 0-0 Tottenham

A series of Tottenham corners present the away side with a chance to put the squeeze on Roberto. The final of three is swung into the corridor of uncertainty in the six-yard box but the home keeper is able to punch away before his defence rally.

Soon after, Spurs come again and it is only Declan Rice's sliding challenge that prevents Son having a sight of goal.

West Ham fans made it pretty clear what they think of goalkeeper Roberto just then.

They gave him a loud cheer - when all he did was pick the ball up as it rolled to him.

There really is no confidence in the former Malaga man.

  9. 'Wonderful pass from Noble'published at 13:00 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2019

I thought Anderson was offside. A wonderful pass from Mark Noble, the best of this first half.

Haller was struggling to stay up with play, he got to the cross but could not sort his feet out.

In this sort of games you need to be able to anticipate and take these chances.

West Ham's sloppiness costs them a good chance. Noble plays a lovely ball down the left to release Felipe Anderson but his pull-back to the edge of the box is miss-controlled by Haller.

    Spurs were scrambling.

Chris Baldwin: to be fair to Jose not sure he can be blamed for the slow start from Spurs. They’ve been like this all year. Give it some time!

Bresla Stephenson: this has all the signs of a dull Mourinho 1-0 win. Probably Dier from a corner...

I wish I could offer you some respite with what is going on in this game but it's pretty dire.

Felipe Anderson gets West Ham down the pitch with his first real charge. But despite winning a throw in deep in Spurs territory the home side contrive to gift possession away.

    Precious little quality on display.

Oh good, we've had some action. Son looks to curl a shot into the far corner but Roberto is there to punch away (should have caught it). The ball is swung back in but Lucas Moura heads wide.

Hit Sebastien! Hit Sebastien! West Ham once again look to get the ball on the head of their big target man. He goes down in the box in his latest attempt to connect, but there is no way that is a foul.

Some of the Spurs players look very heavy - particularly Eric Dier and Dele Alli. I wonder if that's Pochettino related, and if it will change in the next few months. They look like a squad with a lot of unnecessary bulk.
