That's just the start Pep Guardiola demanded from his side.

    Watford 0-3 Burnley

    Burnley

Burley manager Sean Dyche speaking to Match of the Day: 'It is a convincing win but hard-fought, in the first half we were miles off, we had a word at half time and we set out in a different manner in the second half.

'I reminded the players about discipline and to play on the front foot.

'Our defence kept us in the game in the first half, we did not look too much in trouble but Nick Pope deserves a lot of credit too.

On the penalty awarded through VAR: 'I think that what VAR is it for. I was surprised it was not given in the first place. But I think in the end it is the right decision.

On Chris Wood: 'I think it is a great goal, he adjusts his feet right at the right second and that's a fantastic centre-forward goal.

'I like having two centre forwards, Barnes and Wood are playing a big part on us scoring more freely since last Christmas.

Adam Salter: Surely, after that performance, Emery’s position is untenable. You should be beating Southampton comfortable at home, not drawing 2-2 (and a very lucky 2-2, The Saints should have steamrolled us).

John Spurling: I can’t remember a home game where the away side should so clearly have won, but didn't. Southampton were sharper and Arsenal dreadful and very lucky.

  11. Leicester penalty explainedpublished at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2019

    Brighton 0-2 Leicester

A bit of clarity on the Leicester penalty. Which was saved. Before the Foxes scored on the rebound. And then ruled out. Before being re-taken. And finally scored.

The premier League inform us: "The on-field decision was to award the goal, but the VAR identified that both James Maddison (who headed in the rebound) and Brighton players had encroached inside the penalty area. The VAR then correctly advised the referee that the penalty should be retaken."

    Fair enough.

    Everton 0-2 Norwich

    Norwich City

Norwich forward Teemu Pukki speaking after the game: "It feels amazing to get our first away win. It has been coming for a while but it feels good to get some away points. I think we did well, we were defending well and we were still playing our style of football. The clean sheet is really important, that’s what we came for. The defence have really played a vital part today."

On people tipping them for relegation: "We don’t care what people say, it’s up to us to do our job to stay in the league. We have started now and we need to continue. We have been missing that away win and now it’s a lot easier to go forwards. It’s a relief but I think it’s about time and we thoroughly deserved the points today."
