Leicester are ruthless. Villa have been doing plenty of digging but the Foxes’ slick, counter-attacking football is wonderful to watch and, at this rate, you wouldn’t back against an eighth Premier League win on the spin here. That pocket of travelling fans is getting lively.

James Ward-Prowse is the first player to go in the referee's book as he goes in very late on Miguel Almiron.

Newcastle have a free kick which Jonjo Shevley takes but the ball in is too high for his team-mates and drifts out of play.

One minute added on. If I were in the stands I'd be straight out for a half-time pie. You are not missing anything in this one.

Leicester have been better in both boxes.

Great work from Maddison and a great run from Iheanacho: he has improved massively under Rodgers and now he’s showing the talent he had at Manchester City.

I like the centre-forwards who run across the box and that’s where they score the goals.

Daniel: Leicester are too lightweight to win the League. They lack a few star players. They also lack squad depth and experience of a premier league title race.

If anything is going to happen for Newcastle you can bet Saint-Maximin will be involved. He has been their only creative spark so far in this game.

I don’t think any of Villa’s centre-halves can match Vardy for pace. He’s causing them a lot of problems.

The game is high tempo. It is a good derby, proper tackles going in but fair tackles.

More one-way traffic than Spaghetti Junction at the moment. And it's all heading to the Villa goal.

Jamie Vardy drills low at Tom Heaton moments after the opening goal, then sees his cross intercepted by a sliding Bjorn Engels.

Still Leicester motor forward, another attack down the left ending with Ben Chilwell's cross being cleared.

Danny Ings slips the ball through to Shane Long but the forward is superbly tackled by Federico Fernández just as he is about to shoot.

You sense Southampton are edging closer to a goal.

Francis: Seriously naive to set up like this against a team who are 2nd who thrive against playing teams who set up like this. The Villa manager never gets stick but Steve Bruce gets it all the time and look at the difference in league position

Danny Ings tries to bundle his way into the area but he runs into team-mate Ryan Bertrand and they both go tumbling to the floor.

Kinda sums up the quality of this game so far, to be fair.

After some early promise, the quality has faded. A bit like Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
