  1. HALF-TIMEpublished at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 8 December 2019

    Brighton 2-2 Wolves

    This is thriller.

Wolves led against the run of play, Brighton turned it around out of nothing. Then Wolves equalised after looking down and out.

    Never doubted this game. Never.

  2. Postpublished at 45+1 mins

    Brighton 2-2 Wolves

Two minutes of stoppage time. Who's backing against another goal? Not me.

  3. 'The right score line'published at 45 mins

    Brighton 2-2 Wolves

    Alan Pardew
Former Southampton and West Ham manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Wolves nicked it at the right time, and it is a good finish from Jota.

And this game bizarrely will go at half-time with the right score line: because Brighton did not deserve to be ahead.

  4. goal

GOAL - Brighton 2-2 Wolvespublished at 44 mins

    Diogo Jota

The pendulum swings back to Wolves. What a half!

Davy Propper goes from hero to zero, the Brighton scorer's sloppy square pass in his own half seized upon by Jonny.

The Spanish left wing-back pounces, plays into Diogo Joto and he does the rest with a precise finish. Off the post! Ding.

  5. 'Wolves had just five minutes of madness'published at 43 mins

    Brighton 2-1 Wolves

    Alan Pardew
Former Southampton and West Ham manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

If I was the Wolves manager I’d be really frustrated we are not winning this game, but on the other hand the performance has been good.

They just had five minutes of madness. Brighton have looked OK, but Wolves look a stronger team and this game is far from over.

  6. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Brighton 2-1 Wolves

Wolves, looking a little shell-shocked, have a chance with a corner. Brighton half clear to Ruben Neves, who doesn't shoot but instead plays back out to Joao Moutinho. Who is offside.

  7. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Brighton 2-1 Wolves

Almost three! Aaron Mooy, a man who knows all about a close shave, grazes a low angled shot against the left-hand post.

    Brighton 2-1 Wolves

Will the real Wolves please stand up? Somebody has replaced the side of the opening 33 minutes with another 11 men dressed in gold.

  9. 'Last five minutes changed the game'published at 37 mins

    Brighton 2-1 Wolves

    Alan Pardew
Former Southampton and West Ham manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Wolves were in total control at 1-0, and all of a sudden they are behind.

This goal is really well worked, it is a dinked cross and it is a very good header from the penalty spot.

The last five minutes transformed this game, it is amazing: it was going all in one way.

  10. goal

GOAL - Brighton 2-1 Wolvespublished at 36 mins

    Davy Propper

What a turnaround! Who saw this coming?

Brighton, buoyed by that goal out of nothing, move the ball quickly again as they look to exploit Wolves's vulnerability.

Leandro Trossard dinks over a cross from the left, finding an unmarked Davy Propper who steers a controlled header into the bottom left corner.

Textbook 'heading through a picture frame'.

  11. goal

GOAL - Brighton 1-1 Wolvespublished at 34 mins

    Neal Maupay

    Funny old game.

Brighton, as we alluded to earlier, like to mix things up now and again - it's not all tika-taka.

Dale Stephens collects the ball on the halfway line, looks up and picks out Neal Maupay's run.

The Frenchman does the rest with a quick-thinking shot into the bottom corner.

  12. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Brighton 0-1 Wolves

Steven Alzate looks to be from the Serge Aurier school of right-backing. Lesson one: don't stay upfield and let the forward in behind. Diogo Jota gets behind the home defence again, only to shoot straight at Mat Ryan.

DelDude: That pass from Raul Jimenez to Jotta was Joe Cole / Micheal Ballack esqe: it was impeccable.

  14. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Brighton 0-1 Wolves

Brighton's record when they have conceded first at home? Not fought back to win any of the past 20 matches when that has happened.

  15. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Brighton 0-1 Wolves

Brighton almost hit straight back... Pascal Gross' shot from a central position has the sting taken out of it by Romain Saiss's thigh and is gathered by Rui Patricio.

  16. 'Great play by Jota'published at 28 mins

    Brighton 0-1 Wolves

    Alan Pardew
Former Southampton and West Ham manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

That was all about Jota in the middle of the pitch: the ball gets played into him and he sucks the centre-back in who makes an error.

And then suddenly Brighton are short at the back, the ball gets pulled back into the middle of the goal and it’s a tap-in: Jota can’t miss it.

  17. goal

GOAL - Brighton 0-1 Wolvespublished at 27 mins

    Diogo Jota

Punished. Wolves, buoyed by that chance a moment ago, press with intent and win possession again.

Raul Jimenez springs the offside trap down the left after being played in by Diogo Jota, looking up to see the Portuguese forward continue his run into the box.

Jimenez plays a delightful ball with the outside of his right boot into Jota, who forces in from a central position.

  18. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Wolves

I'm one who is all for playing out from the back but there can be a time and a place for it. This isn't one. Brighton get into a tangle at the back, Raul Jimenez dispossessing Adam Webster but unable to turn in.

    A warning sign for Brighton.

  19. Postpublished at 25 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Wolves

Brighton get the ball moving sharper, a quick throw-in is played into Neal Maupay's feet, allowing him to run and try to play in Pascal Gross. Unfortunately for the hosts, it is too strong and goes out for a goal-kick.

  20. 'Wolves are restricting Brighton'published at 23 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Wolves

    Alan Pardew
Former Southampton and West Ham manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

One of the things you have to do against Brighton, that have got two wide players who want to come off the line, is to to keep the pitch congested.

Wolves are keeping a really high line and restricted Brighton shape a bit.

Graham Potter is telling his striker to run in behind a bit more.
