Ben: That extra kick from Son certainly does not look like an accident. Not sure what legitimate purpose it could serve.

Surely Rudiger's reaction deserves a yellow card too for that dreadful over-acting!?

Red card for Son. He can look as astonished and upset as he likes but he raised his boot. Rudiger over-did it in reaction but Son definitely raised his boot into his ribs.

  4. RED CARD - Tottenhampublished at 62 mins

    Son Heung-min

    He's off!

VAR had a look and deemed the second movement of his foot up the body of Antonio Rudiger warrants a red card.

Big decision and Tottenham have even more of a mountain to climb.

VAR is having a look at a challenge by Son Heung-min on Antonio Rudiger. The Tottenham forward does catch the Chelsea defender with a boot after a challenge, but was it intentional?

Still not really happening for Tottenham. Harry Kane isn't in the game.

Stevie Boy: Dele Alli needs to get into the game, at the minute he isn’t.

Willian is one of the most underrated players in world football. He's class on his day, and he shows little outburst of quality every few months which show he has what it takes to be one of the best in the world

  10. 'Key performers have stood up today'published at 17:46 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2019

    Tottenham 0-2 Chelsea

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

A lot of Chelsea's key performers have stood up and been counted today. Willian has probably been the best player on the pitch. I think the defensive three have shown pace and power - they have not lost many battles today have they.

  11. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 55 mins

    Tottenham 0-2 Chelsea

Marcos Alonso thumps a venomous strike at goal, Paulo Gazzaniga stops it but the ball squirms loose and Tammy Abraham is there to tuck in the rebound but he did so from an offside position and it won't count.

That all came from another quick break by Chelsea after a Tottenham attack broke down. That's something Jose Mourinho needs to be wary of.

M.Saad: A team with Mourinho in charge should not be underestimated. We are 2-0 up, but I’m only celebrating till after the 85th minute, where we still have that two goal cushion.

It is clear that Jose wanted a free flowing match between two Chelsea icons.. but Frank went in for the kill! Good for him!

Serge Aurier bends the ball behind the Chelsea defence but too close to Kepa and the goalkeeper gathers. Tottenham look more of a threat, but are also leaving more gaps at the back.

    Tottenham 0-2 Chelsea

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Serge Aurier did not have the best 45 minutes but already you can see that Tottenham, when they are building up they will have more people up the pitch. Aurier and Moura will be able to push Alonso and Azpilicueta back. They will have more of a presence in the game.

  15. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Tottenham 0-2 Chelsea

Lots of space for Chelsea to attack as Mason Mount takes the ball up field. He plays in Tammy Abraham on the right and the striker attempts the return pass but it is cut out. Willian, quite rightly, hops in frustration. He was free on the other side of the box.

Ben: Today shows that Frank is the best person to be in charge of Chelsea right now. His tactics today have been fantastic, and have have put Mourinho on the defensive. Spend well in January and we will be golden until the end of the season.

Andy Kershaw: If I were Daniel Levy, I would be storming into that Spurs dressing room and totally blowing my top. What a totally abject and dismal performance! How can you give a pay-cheque to players when they perform like that??!!

What does Mourinho see in Dier? He doesn't want the ball, when he does get it he can't pass forward and off the ball he just runs around aimlessly. Ndombele on at half time or Spurs have no hope!

    Matt, Linton

Spurs have bottled both the Utd and Chelsea games. Both were must win. Both Spurs have been inept. Magic Mourinho? Not for me.
