  1. 'Calvert-Lewin needs to sharpen up in front of goal'published at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Everton 0-0 Burnley

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on BBC 5 Live

Everton are doing well. They have kept their momentum going from Duncan Ferguson. The desire is there, the passing has sharpened up, which it needed to. Dominic Calvert-Lewin really needs to sharpen up in front of goal. If he could score more goals, he could be a superstar.

    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

For all the speed in the team - Callum Hudson-Odoi, Willian, N'Golo Kante - Chelsea's approach play is rather pedestrian and Southampton are finding is very comfortable to deal with.

Nick Pope has shanked a couple of clearances already, the second of which brings a cheer from the Goodison faithful. Wearing in the new boots he got for Christmas, the Burnley stopper?

Daniel Cheng: Lucas Torreira's winning a lot of balls in the midfield, must be the first name on the teamsheet from now on. The battery of the team!

All a bit scrappy between Palace and the Hammers. A few tackles that would be more at home across the capital at Twickenham. Very little in the way of chances.

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Watford

The rain is pouring down now in Sheffield as the hosts continue to apply the pressure to the Watford defence.

David McGoldrick's name rings out around the ground as he balloons an effort over the bar from an offside position. The home fans are desperate for the hard-working striker to get some reward for his tireless attacking play this season.

  8. 'Difference in Arsenal notable'published at 15:26 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Bournemouth 0-0 Arsenal

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

The interesting thing about Arsenal is it's the opposite of historical Arsenal. They are not trying to walk the ball in, they are shooting on sight at the moment. The difference is notable.

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Goodison Park

The two technical areas are right next to each other at Goodison Park and Sean Dyche and Carlo Ancelotti are both as close to the pitch as they can be. Any closer and they’d be playing left wing or right-back.

It’s a bitterly cold, wet day in Liverpool so Ancelotti has opted for the big coat and suit approach, unlike his temporary predecessor Duncan Ferguson who never let the cold and rain stop him and all he needed was a thin shirt.

After 20 minutes both sides have had chances each. Yerry Mina had to head a Jay Rodriguez effort off the line from under the crossbar and Mason Holgate was superbly denied by Nick Pope at the other end.

  10. 'Southampton need to up the tempo'published at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

    Micah Richards
Former England defender on Final Score

Southampton have defended really well so far. The game looks a little bit slow. As soon as Tammy Abraham has the ball, he has five players around him, they are defending really well. Southampton just need to up the tempo if they are going to get a goal.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal are getting into their stride now but Bournemouth are keeping their shape well to cut off passing lanes.

Eventually, the Gunners do manage to get into the box courtesy of Reiss Nelson's cutback but Alexandre Lacazette's shot is blocked.

    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

Ahh, effort on target at Stamford Bridge.

Defender Fikayo Tomori trots up for a free-kick and meets a delivery towards the back post but tamely heads straight at Saints goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.

  13. Postpublished at 15:24 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Everton 0-0 Burnley

Seamus Coleman momentarily turns into Diego Maradona inside the Burnley area, throwing an elaborate step-over to beat his man before being crowded out.

Everton keep the pressure on by winning a free-kick and Dominic Calvert-Lewin rises highest to meet Gylfi Sigurdsson's delivery, but can only glance a header wide of the far post.

Mike: I cannot see how Southampton hope to create a chance from open play. Backs against the wall and hope for the best from a set piece.

Stuart Eccles: Torreria doing well today, doubling up nicely to win the ball back

  15. 'Villa have ran out of ideas'published at 23 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Norwich

    Micah Richards
Former England defender on Final Score

Villa have done OK but they keep getting exposed on the counter-attack. They seem like they have ran out of ideas. When Jack Grealish is not on the ball, they don't know what to do. They don't look the same team when he does not have the ball, they struggle to create chances.

Half a chance for Pablo Fornals but James Tomkins does well to recover for Crystal Palace.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Watford

Big couple of saves from Ben Foster!

First, he produces Spiderman-like reactions to get down quickly and stop Oli McBurnie's instinctive strike from six yards out and then clutches a header from the Sheffield United striker at the base of his right-hand post.

  19. 'Arsenal have a lot more of the ball'published at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Bournemouth 0-0 Arsenal

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on BBC 5 Live

Bournemouth have changed their system today. They are letting Arsenal have a lot more of the ball and that is benefiting Mesut Ozil. They are winning the ball higher up the pitch but there is always worries for Arsenal. They need to be careful to not be caught on the counter attack. I think Bournemouth will be happy with a point today.

  20. 'Everton started well'published at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Everton 0-0 Burnley

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Everton are looking lively and have started well. It will be whether they can keep it up for the whole game and not just this first 10 minute spell. They need a goal to get some confidence.
