    Aston Villa 0-0 Norwich

    Norwich on the break.

Finnish striker Teemu Pukki leads the charge from the halfway line into the box but it nudged off the ball back Ezri Konsa's inch-perfect challenge.

It falls for Emi Buendia on the edge of the box but the Argentine blazes over.

  2. Lucas Makelele?published at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Bournemouth 0-0 Arsenal

Lucas Torreira is playing at the base of the Arsenal midfield today and his performance so far has certainly been encouraging.

He's dropping deep to pick up the ball from the centre backs and then start attacks. He's been let down by what's happened in the final third but it's a tactical switch that is looking god at the moment.

    Everton 0-0 Burnley

"Carlo Ancelotti's Everton..." are knocking it around nicely. But that early Mason Holgate chance is the closest they have come to opening the scoring in the first 10 minutes.

Alexsander Pagels: Imagine being a Champions League winner, having coached players like Kaka, Ronaldo, Lewandowski, Robben etc and now having to coach Mason Holgate and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Ancelotti what a guy.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Aston Villa 0-0 Norwich

    Inches away.

Norwich come agonisingly close through Sam Byram's header from a corner, the ex-Leeds man nods his effort down into the ground but it skips up and rattles the crossbar.

    Tom Heaton was beaten. Poetry.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 West Ham

West Ham seem to have almost every player inside their own half when Crystal Palace get the ball, inviting the hosts to try their luck. Roy Hodgson's side have not been able to breach that wall of white shirts so far.

  7. CLOSE!published at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Aston Villa 0-0 Norwich

Almost the opener for the hosts at Villa Park.

Norwich fail to clear a corner not once, but twice as the ball breaks nicely for Douglas Luiz on the edge of the box.

It bounces a little off the surface, the Brazil midfielder tries to keep his shot down with the outside of his boot, but can only skim a shot narrowly over.

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Watford

You would have to go back to the year 2000 for the last time a promoted side started Boxing Day fifth in the Premier League. That was Ipswich and they went on to finish in that position.

Sheffield United would certainly love to repeat that feat but they are aiming higher based on their start in this game. They are all over Watford in the early stages.

    Everton 0-0 Burnley

It was Lucas Digne who had a strike from the free-kick for Everton. It was whipping and dipping, but clipped the Burnley wall and that helped it out for a corner.

    Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

Zero shots of any kind from either side in the opening 15 minutes of this contest.

    Turgid.

What type of touchline manager is Mikel Arteta? Very much in the Pep Guardiola mould on this showing so far.

He is right by the edge of the pitch, shouting instructions to his players. He has certainly had plenty to shout about with Bournemouth having had the better chances as Callum Wilson smashes one over the bar from outside the box.

    Everton 0-0 Burnley

Everton have set up in what looks like a 3-5-2 /3-4-3 today.

Richarlison goes bursting through the middle for Carlo Ancelotti's side and is bundled over just outside the box.

    Lucas Digne might fancy this...

  13. Postpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Crystal Palace 0-0 West Ham

One shot in the opening 10 minutes, and it fell Palace's way. Max Meyer smashed it high and wide of Roberto's goal. The hosts are dominating possession, mind.

  15. Finally a shot on target against Popepublished at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Everton 0-0 Burnley

    Michael Emons
    BBC Sport at Goodison Park

Mason Holgate’s close-range shot excellently saved by Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope was the first effort he had faced on target in more than three hours of football.

His defence completely shut out both Newcastle and Bournemouth with the Clarets winning both matches 1-0.

Indeed, the last man to have a shot at Pope before Holgate was Tottenham’s Dele Alli in the 76th minute of Spurs' 5-0 win on 7 December.

  16. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Sheff Utd 0-0 Watford

After that 10-minute delay, we're under way now at Bramall Lane.

  17. Postpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Bournemouth 0-0 Arsenal

Chance for Bournemouth as Ryan Fraser gets a low shot in on goal but Bernd Leno pushes behind to give the Cherries a corner. It comes to nothing but the hosts are starting to get a hold on this game now.

  18. Postpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Aston Villa 0-0 Norwich

Norwich midfielder Todd Cantwell will be taking the interest of "bigger" clubs should his excellent form for the Canaries continue - he has five goals and two assists this season.

On this occasion, the Englishman scuffs a shot straight at Villa goalkeeper Tom Heaton.

  19. 'You cannot afford for Roberto to have to make a save'published at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Crystal Palace 0-0 West Ham

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on Final Score

When asked would having Roberto behind you fill you with confidence? No, probably not. It's one of those where maybe West Ham players need to do more in front of him. You cannot afford for him to have to make a save. You have to make sure the players in front of you are playing even better.

  20. CLOSE!published at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2019

    Everton 0-0 Burnley

What a save! Nick Pope, take a bow.

Yerry Mina heads down into the path of centre-back partner Mason Holgate, but he lashes a half-volley straight at the Burnley goalkeeper from inside the six-yard box.

    Huge chance for Everton.
