The noise levels among the home fans are cranked up when their team runs at the away defence. Everton are managing to attack at pace and in numbers and Bernard was allowed to run at the Clarets players and slide a pass to Djibril Sidibe, but his effort was excellently blocked by Nick Pope.

But Everton have just had a warning at the other end. Ashley Westwood’s superb delivery from a deep free-kick found an unmarked Chris Wood six yards out. He headed over the top and would’ve been narrrowly offside but if you keep giving Burnley chances like that they will punish you.

Callum Hudson-Odoi's head nearly falls off his shoulders as he leaps for a high ball, spins over Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and lands on his neck.

Remarkably, he pops up and walks away unscathed.

Crystal Palace Vicente Guaita spills a ball from a hopeful punt into the box, but has his defenders to thank for not allowing Robert Snodgrass to get a shot off.
