Anthony Martial has the ball in the box for United, but a clearance ricochets off him and rolls through to the keeper. United have been better in the second half, but still not great.

    Arsenal 2-0 Man Utd

Some of the United fans are the far end of the ground think this is in. Nemanja Matic finds sub Andreas Perreira but he blasts his shot off the side-netting. From one angle it looked a whole lot better.

    Arsenal 2-0 Man Utd

United sub Mason Greenwood is looking at what I presume is a book of tactics. But it looks like one of those menus you get in touristy places with a picture of all the food. "Oh that's what patatas bravas is."

    Arsenal 2-0 Man Utd

This is a bit better from United now, Fred has a long-range shot which Bernd Leno catches at the second attempt.

Marvin Happe: Don’t write off Utd yet. If anyone knows about scoring late goals it’s Ole!

James Stevestan: This is probably one of the best performances I have seen from Arsenal in a while.

Kevin Cahill: Jesse Lingard is non existent, Matic dwells on the ball too much for our counters and Harry Maguire is a waste of money. Premier league is a dud for us... why not play our youth prospects and blood them in early. More excited to watch them than this drab.

    Arsenal 2-0 Man Utd

Anthony Martial finds Jesse Lingard, whose 20-yard shot just hits the first man. Don't think anybody thought that was going to be a goal.

Manchester United need to try to nick a goal and see if Arsenal have any jitters. You have to say that David Luiz has been brilliant for Arsenal. He was outstanding against Chelsea last week and he's been fabulous again tonight.

  12. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 Man Utd

Nicolas Pepe rides a couple of tackles but Fred does well to stop his run. Two big-money signings who have taken time to settle in the Premier League - a year and a half in Fred's case...

Adam Young: This is what Arsenal fans were hoping for, signs of life! Properly pressing to win the ball, and urgency in our play. Looks like the coaching from Mikel Arteta is starting to pay off.

Abdhakeem Olayiwola: Jesse Lingard has been very poor. I don't think he knows how to do anything again. He can't pass, assist or score. His England career is absolutely over. Greenwood should come in second half.

Shane O'Neill: I don’t see a fix for Utd. We need to offload De Gea, Shaw, Young, Lindelof, Jones, Bailly, Matic, Pogba, Lingard, and Mata and somehow replace them. The outlook is bleak. Just blood the youth for next season.
