  1. 'Giroud can do a job'published at 13:23 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2020

    Chelsea v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

    Alex Scott
Ex-England international on BBC Football Focus

Olivier Giroud has obviously spoken with Frank Lampard about leaving and having more playing time. I think he can definitely do a job for Chelsea. I don't think he's a third-choice striker.

Frank has said that they need to be more consistent and more clinical. I think Giroud can have that impact and has that experience to help them.

    Lots of hope for Palace.

Arsenal have failed to win either of their two Premier League London derbies this season when leading at half-time - drawing against Palace in October and losing against Chelsea in December.

Mikel Arteta looks like a classic airline pilot. Can imagine him wearing those short-sleeve shirts which only pilots (and people who work in IT) seem to wear.

    Disho, Leeds

Arteta has got the players working so much harder. They run more, track back more and it shows in how much better the performances are.

This game is littered with late fouls and Paul Tierney's patience finally snaps as he books Nicolas Pepe for grappling with James McCarthy.

There will be two minutes of stoppage time.

Palace have just managed to get themselves five or 10 yards higher up the pitch in the last 10 minutes and put a little bit more pressure on the Arsenal midfield. It will get the fans going as it has been a little bit flat here - due to the fact Arsenal had not let them into the game at all in the opening stages.

Cheikhou Kouyate goes past one challenge and then another before letting fly...Bernd Leno is forced into his first save.

    Palace need more of that.

One sentence to sum up Palace's first half performance?

Their fans still await a first shot from their team.

    Worst handball shout ever?

Palace want a penalty after claiming Cheikhou Kouyate's pass struck David Luiz on the arm.

    It didn't.

This really is a clash of the titans in terms of diving, rolling around and face holding.

    Colin, Warkworth

Arsenal fans get excited very quickly. Hold your horses it's still going to finish 1-1.

    Ben, London

Zaha totally anonymous so far but bet he'll still get a penalty against us.

Kyle: Crazy how there have been some rumours of Aubameyang leaving. Without him they would be just above the relegation zone. He is that good and important to Arsenal.

Jon Spurling: I think Pepe will come good, but for me, he’s still trying to be too much Hollywood LA than Hollywood Birmingham.

This is getting a touch feisty.

Sead Kolasinac gets a knee in the head from Cheikhou Kouyate after going down under Martin Kelly's challenge.

Then Wilfried Zaha's nudge on Pepe forces the Arsenal man to collide with team-mate Lucas Torreira.

You can see some definite work on the training field by Arteta, especially from an attacking point of view.

Whenever Luiz has the ball, Aubameyang keeps making that run from left to right.

And you have got the front four working patterns and combinations that are fantastic.

They are trying to keep the pitch as big as possible and the link-up play has been first class.

It remains a one-sided game with Arsenal bossing possession.

Palace fans have displayed a banner which reads 'killing the passion, killing the atmosphere'.

There's not a lot of love for VAR at Selhurst Park.

Big Gray: Anyone wanting to know how good Alexandre Lacazette is just tune into this game. The man’s a magician.
