Georginio Wijnaldum loses possession and Spurs break quickly. They are three on two as the ball is played to Son Heung-min by Lucas Moura but he shoots well over from a good position.

When Tottenham have passed the ball, you certainly feel they can manoeuvre these Liverpool players around and get themselves in the game.

They just don’t have the ball for long enough. That’s what this Liverpool side do so well – they take the sting out of the game.

Just under 20 minutes left for Tottenham to get something from this game. They've certainly been more threatening in this half while Liverpool have been unusually blunt in the final third. The visitors could certainly do with a second to feel comfortable.

Malice/SIAST/Siff: I just wonder what must happen in training for Eriksen to keep starting, he's barely 50% of the player he was, same for Rose. It's not like we can be much worse, I'd rather invest minutes on the pitch for players who can grow with us.

Tanganga was committed to the challenge. Both of them went in really bravely and honestly. It’s a crunching challenge.

Robertson just toed it away from Tanganga and followed through, catching the right shin of the academy graduate.

David Nicholson Hirst: Liverpool press and kick you without fouling you...that's how Spurs must play..bully the opponent into making mistakes..Spurs have not got the right manager or players.

Michael Smith: There were times before LFC scored that if Spurs had been any more behind the ball they would have been at Arsenal. At least going behind has made them come out a bit more.

Ed O'Toole: The big difference this season with Liverpool is being demonstrated tonight. They don’t go gung ho when the chance is there if there is a risk of a turnover. Far more measured. Hence closer but more controlled wins.

Andy Robertson catches Japhet Tanganga on the shin. Looks nasty but VAR has a look and decides no further action is needed.Surprised that is not at least a booking for the Liverpool fullback.

The downside of a higher press is it leaves the defence exposed to a Liverpool counter and that's the case as Sadio Mane bursts forward before feeding Andy Robertson on his left but the full-back's cross is put behind for a corner.

Soon after Paulo Gazzaniga does well to push away Sadio Mane's header.

Tottenham are pressing higher up the pitch now and it has resulted in a much better performance by the hosts in this half.

That’s much better from Tottenham. It was a lovely switch on the diagonal and a good shot.

It’s definitely got the crowd going.

I'm not sure what is happening in the Final Score studio over the road but it looks like they are having fun!

This is a good spell for Tottenham at the moment and Jurgen Klopp decides he needs to make a change to swing the balance of play back in favour of his side. Adam Lallana is on for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Spurs supporters inside The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium are vociferously demanding more urgency from their team as Liverpool remain in calm command.

Christian Eriksen, who clearly has no long-term future at the club has been incurring their displeasure but there have been one or two signs of life in the last few minutes.

Good shout Javel. Tottenham won 2-1 thanks to a goal in each half from Danny Rose and Gareth Bale. Nicklas Bendtner scored a late consolation for Arsenal. Stats eh, what do they all mean?

The energy being expended by these Tottenham players and the concentration levels needed to match Liverpool, they're taking their toll.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a Spurs substitution in the next few moments.

Dele Alli pounces on a rare mix up in defence and charges towards goal. Virgil van Dijk slides across to prevent the midfielder from getting a shot off but the loose ball is worked out to Serge Aurier, who fires straight at Alisson.

Misunderstanding between Dele Alli and Son Heung-min as Tottenham try to create something down the left. Liverpool regain the ball and then patiently pass the ball from left to right, inviting Tottenham to expose gaps in their defence.
