Do Winks and Eriksen come up from those central positions? Do the wide players come further forward? Those are the questions for Spurs at the moment.

It’s certainly an intriguing watch.

Tottenham completed just 98 passes in the first half against Liverpool.

Only once - 68 passes against Arsenal in April, 2010 - have Spurs completed fewer in the opening 45 minutes of a home Premier League game since Opta started recording this data (2003-04).

Lucas Moura wins a free kick for Spurs and Jose Mourinho is fuming on the sidelines as he feels there should have been a booking for a Liverpool player there.

The referee allowed advantage and Moura found himself in a really good position outside the box, but scuffed his shot.

That was a big chance for Tottenham.

Lucas Moura sneaks into a pocket of space but he rushes his shot and smashes it the wrong side of the post. A positive start to the half by Spurs, though.

Tottenham get the second half under way. Liverpool are just 45 minutes away from moving onto 61 points from 21 games. Incredible stuff.

Tottenham have conceded 20 goals in their 13 games under Jose Mourinho in all competitions, the quickest any of his sides have shipped 20 goals.

Indeed, in his first stint in England with Chelsea it took 44 games for Mourinho's Blues to concede that many.

The comparisons against current Premier League sides do not make good reading for Mourinho either.

Only Burnley (21) have conceded more goals in all competitions since 20 November, when he took charge of Tottenham.

It just goes to show that Ralph Hasenhüttl has said 'right, it stops now, 9-0 is out of the way, rubbish today lads, rubbish, but come with me and we will be OK'.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche: "Chelsea were too strong. We're a little bit stretched at the minute. We set about it quite well in the first half. We calmed it down after going behind but the second goal - if you look at the build-up James Tarkowski is pushed in the back. That's a really import moment. At 3-0 Chelsea are too comfortable.

"This is the Premier League. You come out of two wins and suddenly you lose four on the spin. It creeps up on you. We have to fight for everything. We have always had to do that.

"The confidence gets sucked out of players if they are not winning. We are trying to revive that."

On 20-year-old midfielder Dwight McNeil: "I dont think he is talked about enough as one of the top young players in the Premier League."

The difficulty now for Spurs is how much they choose to engage in the middle third and higher up the pitch. That would mean they'd leave space for Liverpool's devastating front three, who can really hurt defenders.

There might be a personnel change as well. There are a lot of things for Jose Mourinho to consider at half-time.

Firmino has scored five goals in his last six games for Liverpool in all comps, as many as in his previous 30 appearances for the Reds.

Mohamed Salah has been involved in 8 goals in last 10 starts against Spurs in all comps (7 goals, 1 assist).
