    Bournemouth 0-1 Watford

    Mark Mitchener
    BBC Sport at Vitality Stadium

Bournemouth (champions), Watford (runners-up) and Norwich (play-off winners) were the three teams promoted from the Championship in 2015 - though the Canaries have been down, and then back up, since then.

The same three teams occupied the relegation places this morning. And on current form, it would take a major turnaround for all three to escape the drop this term.

(And, is Neil the Stoke fan aware that Eddie Howe was actually signed as a youth player here while Tony Pulis was Cherries manager?)

Bournemouth's next two games are Norwich away and Brighton at home. Eddie Howe would be given those two games at least, wouldn't he?

Martin Higgins: Sack Eddie and bring in who exactly? Half the first team is injured. Who would do better with this team?

Mark Rollason: As it stands Watford are currently out of the Relegation Zone. Not bad for a team who appeared to be dead and buried in November, and bottom on Christmas Day. Pearson must now surely be the new Allardyce if he pulls this Great Escape out of the bag.

Almost could have/should have been a second for Watford. Ismaila Sarr is left free at the back post but his effort is weak and Simon Franics hooks the ball clear.

Howe and Pulis would be most unlikely double act since... Ancelotti and Duncan Ferguson?

I think Eddie Howe needs fresh eyes rather than sacking. If this were a normal business you'd look at how to strengthen the management team not just chuck out a good man. Why not hire Pulis for a short period to add some organisation and thought.

I doubt if Eddie Howe worked in any other business he'd have his future questioned after what he has achieved.

But football is different. The wish to stay in the Premier League is so strong.

He's got his hands in his pockets on the sideline.

Parish Bakes: Eddie Howe's team has been ravaged by injuries. To sack him based on having to play a makeshift team is ridiculous.

Beth Smith: I'm sorry but there is no way Bournemouth will sack Eddie Howe. If he does get sacked it will make the majority of Bournemouth fans angry including me. We wouldn't be here without him.

What has Eddie Howe had to say at half-time? The Bournemouth players are the first time re-emerge.

    A big half coming up.

I'm not sure what's worse. Bournemouth players lack of desire or their inability to play out from the back. So many goals conceded by errors rather than skill from the opposition....

There were a multitude of mistakes for the Watford goal but for a 20 year old who has played only three games all season, your senior players have to help you out - and they didn't. I blame the two centre-backs for that.

Watford have been very organised but I don't think they have come out of second or third gear. The main thing is...they haven't made a mistake.

    • Bournemouth have only kept one clean sheet in their last 11 games in the Premier League (1-0 v Chelsea last month).

Are you Howe in or Howe out like Dan?

He has done so many incredible things at Bournemouth it seems incredible he could ever be sacked.

But, at the moment, the Cherries are plummeting. They were seventh when they beat Man Utd at the start of November.

The goal was Simon Francis and Steve Cook's fault. Don't put the young lad under pressure like that in goal. There's three minutes to go until half-time, if you are going to play it out, set it up on his good foot so he can just launch it forward.

An interesting point from Karen Carney. To the untrained eye that just looked like the goalkeeper's fault.

Could Travers' team-mates have done more? Maybe.

    We're into first-half stoppage time.

Typical Bournemouth - their own detriment trying to play out but it's not actually Travers' fault - Simon Francis has given it back to him on his weaker foot. Steve Cook hasn't given him an angle either to say 'I'll help you out', so Watford have just gone through and put a lovely ball across. The young lad is 20, don't put him under pressure like that.
