Lamela did not quite strike the ball well enough and it was pretty easy to clear in the end.

I mean, we're talking millimetres here. The overhead graphic shows just how close that ball was to crossing the line and it is ludicrously close. The finest of margins.

The ball is driven in low, causing bodies to fly in all over the shop. Lamela looks to have turned the ball towards an empty net, but with his first proper touch in English football Pussetto manages to clear it off the line.

It's been a flat game. I think Tottenham have been pretty passive in the second half. Watford had 15 minutes where they were on top but since the missed penalty, the game has plateaued. It's like we are still waiting for the game to start.

Now that was a hit. Capoue comes charging from midfield to absolutely whack an effort that doesn't reach Gazzaniga thanks to a block on the edge of the box.

Erik Lamela wriggles in around the back of the Watford defence down the left, but instead of crossing he opts to shoot and slices wide. Wasteful.

Tottenham have struggled to get out of their own half this last 10 minutes or so but Watford have not tested Gazzaniga since missing that penalty.

Eriksen almost conjures something up, but while his cross into the box finds Son, the forward is offside.

David Kalev: 2 points against Watford this season says it all. Hopefully we hold on today. Hopeless from day 1.

Fernandes' first real touch is a positive one as he ghosts into the box to collect a pass as Spurs break. His low cross is inviting but nobody else in a Spurs shirt can react to get on to it.

Spurs have offered less and less going forward as this half has gone on.

Watford looking the more likely to get that winner. Won't get a better chance than the one they've already had from the spot though.
