Lucas Moura is where Tottenham look most dangerous. Him and Dele Alli are linking up. Dele Alli looks to be pushing up higher in the second half and that's much better. He was playing deep and he does not play well when he is that deep because he cannot find runs.

Angus Robb: That first half is why Refs need to do post match interviews. I'm dying to understand why no Yellow/Red for the High Foot foul, no check on early handball by VAR, and 2 mins added time when clearly there were around 6+ mins of stops, 4 for the mic change.

Nick Triani: What is the point of VAR - Spurs penalty and red for Capoue. Why don't they check, now they can? What game are Schwarzer and Parkin watching - Watford have been pretty poor as one of the form teams in the league.

Luke: It has taken Spurs fans half the season to begin to get frustrated about VAR just like the rest of us. Just waiting for Liverpool fans to start moaning and we would have the whole set.

    Watford 0-0 Tottenham

Watford keep pushing forward and they force a corner as Deeney's shot from the box trickles just wide via a deflection.

The corner, though, is a total waste. Taken short and not put into the box before a Spurs man charges out to tackle and clear.

Sarr is causing all sorts of bother with his pace. He is absolute lightning.

And now Dele Alli misses a good opportunity. Spurs break and Alli is free at the back post but he can't quite get over his header from Son's deep cross and heads over.

All the big lads are up but the corner is hit over everyone in the box.

Watford have started this half really well. They're exploiting the pace they have down the wings. Sarr wins his side a corner.

Another great chance for Watford that goes begging. A header from Deeney in the box almost falls for Sarr, but before he can strike a volley, Lo Celso sticks out a boot to nick the ball.

Harry Salmon: People criticise Ole but United play a better brand of football than Spurs! Mourinho not an entertainer.

Ralph Pedersen: Why are our fans so delusional. Eriksen has been the best creative midfielder we’ve had for generations. He’s irreplaceable on our budget. Please stop judging his career on the past 8/9 months.

Abdhakeem Olayiwola: Serge Aurie has been very poor for Spurs..his link-up play in the final third is horrendous....Jose has lots to do.. Watford playing like a mid-table team..they have been comfortable so far...

Massive chance to start the second half.

Watford should be ahead as Doucoure breaks into the box to collect a Sarr pull-back. He takes one touch but can't quite wrap his boot around the ball to steer it at goal from point-blank range.

Aurier is awful. Anybody who disagrees hasn't been watching spurs this season. And regarding Eriksen, he has been rubbish for over a year. So that's why us spurs fans want him out

Dean: Capoue should've been sent off, Spurs should have had a pen and ref nearly 4 mins off changing mic and adds on only 2!

Stevie Boy CTID: What is it with the people at Stockley Park? Even the commentators timed extra time as 3mins & 30 seconds yet they give 2mins !!!! This is getting to be a joke.

Graham Winstanley: FA just embarrassing. No review of Capoue high stud first challenge. The ref takes 3mins to strut off the pitch to fix broken coms and then only adds 2mins. Joke!

Spurs have failed to score in the first half of any of their last six Premier League games - their longest such run since December 2012 under Andre Villas-Boas.

I think Nigel Pearson will be slightly the happier of the two managers.

I think Tottenham have had more possession and at times going forward they have looked slightly more dangerous.

Watford had a pretty decent half-chance.

Overall, the first half has been a little bit scrappy and a little bit like an aerial ping-pong game - but it has been even.

Steve Medley-Daley: RE Tom McQuillin (1:06pm) - It's about whether it's reckless or deliberately endangering a player. Reckless is a yellow, and for that, VAR will do nothing.

The goalkeepers have not been worked that much in the first half and Spurs are looking a bit lackluster and like they do not know what to do in front of goal without Harry Kane.

Liz Tray: Not a great challenge. But in football it is customary to wave your arm toward the bench when you are on the ground to indicate serious injury. The Spurs player popping on to his feet 10 seconds later is dishonest.

Stevie Boy CTID: What ?? Not even a yellow card for that nasty high boot to the knee ?!!

Looks like the first Capoue challenge has got you talking on social media. He wasn't booked for it. But he did a card later in the half.
