Aberdeen threw everything at it but they needed something different, it never came though. They never put the game to bed at 1-0 and they paid the price

  9. FULL-TIME St Johnstone 1-1 Aberdeenpublished at 16:50

What a priceless point that may prove to be for nine-man St Johnstone. Bottom of the table, they cancelled out Sam Cosgrove's stunning opener through Matty Kennedy's cool finish.

However, cool heads were in short supply as Murray Davidson and Callum Hendry both saw red for late tackles.

It's just two banks of four from St Johnstone now. That penalty box is going to be battered from Aberdeen. Tommy Wright will need bravery and commitment from his players

  17. 'Saints implode'published at 16:37

    St Jonstone 1-1 Aberdeen

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at McDiarmid Park

A strange one this, Saints worked so hard to get in to the game, they manage that, then implode with two straight red cards.

If they go on and lose this game they will only have themselves to blame.

You cannot fly into a challenge like that. Callum Hendry has lost it. The referee is left with no option whatsoever. They've went from getting back into the game to potentially throwing it away

St Johnstone are down to nine men as substitute Callum Hendry is sent off for a late, late sliding tackle on Lewis Ferguson.
