We're 25 minutes into a fascinating contest in South Lanarkshire.

That's what Accies do to you. The game's so open, but they get something from somewhere. Davies does really well keeping the ball alive and Smith just gets there. Maybe we do have a game

Calm as you like from Ryan Jack. He just passes it into the net. You could point the finger at Accies saying it's poor defensively but it's a calm finish from a guy that's in top form

    Derek Ferguson
Former Rangers and Hamilton midfielder on Sportsound

    Quote Message

It makes sense for Defoe to play, but Morelos isn't a bad sub. In Defoe you have terrific movement, maybe not the same physical presence as Morelos, but he's a goal poacher

    Hamilton Accies v Rangers (12:15)

So, Rangers are without Alfredo Morelos, who was late returning from international duty with Colombia.

But Jermain Defoe is a more than handy replacement, isn't he? The veteran England striker scored a hat-trick when these sides last met at Ibrox in October.

He was also on target when Rangers were last on the Accies' plastic surface.
