It's a similar tale at the bottom end of the table, where 24th-placed Barnsley and 23rd-placed Wigan Athletic remain four points apart after draws this evening.

Stoke City and Huddersfield Town are the big movers during midweek after eye-catching wins on Tuesday.

So it's as you were at the top of the table.

Leeds United remain at the summit on goal difference only after West Bromwich Albion's draw at Wigan Athletic, while Chris Martin's equaliser for Derby County against Sheffield Wednesday denied the Owls a spot in the play-off places.

Brentford are also just out of the picture level with Wednesday on 33 points after their win against Cardiff.

Right - catch your breath a bit after those frantic finishes.

We'll show you what it's done to the table at both ends shortly....

    Derby 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday

And it's all over at Pride Park.

Sheffield Wednesday miss the chance to climb into the top six. In fact they drop a place to eighth.

Steven Fletcher put them ahead but Chris Martin equalised late from the spot for Derby.

  7. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:43 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2019

    Brentford 2-1 Cardiff City

Brentford cling on in the end after Bryan Mbeumo and Ollie Watkins scored in either half.

Marlon Pack pulled one back for the Bluebirds but they couldn't quite find the leveller and their run of three wins comes to an end.

  8. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:42 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2019

    Birmingham 0-2 QPR

Bright Osayi-Samuel's stunner is the highlight as QPR battle to victory at Birmingham.

    Barnsley 1-1 Reading

Points shared as Cauley Woodrow's opener was cancelled out by Lucas Joao's leveller.

Barnsley still four points adrift at the bottom.

All over at the DW Stadium - West Brom miss the chance to go back to the top.

But, they can probably count themselves a touch fortunate to take a point from this one as Wigan had all of the chances in the first half.

  11. RED CARD (Odubajo)published at 21:40 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2019

    Derby 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Another red card on this eventful night as Sheffield Wednesday full-back Moses Odubajo sees red.

It's a second yellow for a foul on Scott Malone as the hosts tried to break clear.

But the set-piece is cleared and that'll be that. All square.

  13. Postpublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2019

    Swansea 1-1 Blackburn

It's end to end at the Liberty Stadium, where first Swansea optimistically appeal for a penalty for a handball and then Blackburn break through Sam Gallagher and win a corner.

  14. Postpublished at 21:35 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2019

    Barnsley 1-1 Reading

Barnsley press and look in here for the winner....

But Rafael makes a good save from substitute Patrick Schmidt as he looked destined to score.

    Six minutes being added on....

    Brentford 2-1 Cardiff City

Brentford and Ollie Watkins have the ball in the back of the net again, but it won't count.

Watkins adjudged offside from the ball threaded through from halfway despite the neat finish.

Derby level as they force a penalty!

Chris Martin converts it after Jack Marriott is fouled by Moses Odubajo.

Martin steps up and sends Cameron Dawson the wrong way.

    Wigan 1-1 West Brom

West Brom keep on pressing for the goal to take them back to the top.

Hal Robson-Kanu and Kyle Edwards combine but can't get the shot in on target while at the other end, Josh Windass' header forces another smart save out of Sam Johnstone.

Last five minutes plus stoppages approaching.

It’s hard to imagine anyone scoring a better goal this season than Son did for Spurs with that sensational solo effort at the weekend.

But QPR’s Bright Osayi-Samuel has just had a right good stab at it.

What a run from the Rangers youngster as he galloped forward from the halfway line, and saw off all challengers before slamming an unstoppable left-foot screamer into the roof of the net at the Railway Stand End.

Birmingham had just made the last of their three permitted substitutions in an attempt to salvage something - but that second goal for the visitors looks to have sealed Blues’ third successive game without a home win

  19. Postpublished at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2019

    Derby 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Nearing the last 10 minutes and still Derby haven't had a shot on target.

Natives sound restless around Pride Park too as Wednesday keep hold of the ball.

  20. Postpublished at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2019

    Barnsley 1-1 Reading

Almost a quick turnaround in this one as Reading forward Yakou Meite heads narrowly over the bar when left unmarked.

    Narrow margins.
