Not much for in-form Cardiff to show for their efforts so far in this one other than a blocked Lee Tomlin shot from the edge of the box.

They've also been forced into an early change with Junior Hoilett making way for Josh Murphy.

Meanwhile, it's another packed floodlit game at Griffin Park, one of few remaining before the club make the move down to Kew Bridge next season and their new stadium.

Not much to tell you about on the pitch so far at Pride Park, but here's a picture of Wayne Rooney on Derby's bench to keep you updated.

Must be sat on a heated seat judging by that thin layer he has on!

    Wigan 0-0 West Brom

Wigan off to a decent start here as Jamal Lowe looks to cause a few problems running the channels.

Couple of half shouts as well for handball against the West Brom defenders, Antonee Robinson with a run into the box down the left and a shot that seems to strike a hand before going out for a corner.

    Nothing given.

    Swansea 1-1 Blackburn

There's been plenty of action at the Liberty Stadium already.

Even since Andre Ayew's equaliser there's been chances at both ends, first for Swansea's George Byers and then Blackburn goalscorer Danny Graham, but it remains 1-1.

    Barnsley 0-0 Reading

Action in both boxes in the opening 15 minutes of this one.

George Puscas perhaps took too long to take his shot when through for Reading and got forced wide after trying to round Tykes keeper Sam Radlinger.

At the other end, Mike Bahre forces Rafael into a smart stop with an opportunist shot.

Danny Graham gave Blackburn an early lead here and then raised his hand in apology to the home fans.

It is a while since Graham played for Swansea - he left almost seven years ago - but he enjoyed his stint in south Wales, hence his gesture to the home crowd.

He did the same thing when he scored at the Liberty Stadium for Hull City in December 2013.

Swansea responded quickly to Graham's effort, with Andre Ayew heading home his seventh of the season.

    Birmingham 0-0 QPR

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at St Andrew's

We’re under way at St Andrew’s after that very well received minute’s applause for the two former Birmingham City bosses we have lost in the last week, Jim Smith, who also managed tonight’s opponents QPR, and Ron Saunders.

Not much to clap in the game so far, other than in ironic protest at QPR’s all light-blue away strip, with shimmering silver numbers on the back.

Under the lights, it’s almost impossible to recognise any players, unless you actually hail from Shepherds Bush and already knew them all by sight!

Quiet start to this one at Pride Park, but the Rams have also paid their own tribute before kick-off to Jim Smith.

He masterminded their promotion to the Premier League in 1996 during his time with the club.

  9. goal

GOAL: Swansea 1-1 Blackburnpublished at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2019

    Andre Ayew (10 mins)

Blackburn's lead lasts less than six minutes!

Swansea City have equalised with the simplest of set-pieces, as Andre Ayew rises highest in the middle of the penalty area to nod home a corner.

Winless in five matches, the hosts really needed a quick response and they've got one.

Pretty even start to this one with two sides at opposite ends of the table.

Not much to mention in terms of chances in either box.

    Barnsley 0-0 Reading

Barnsley force the first real opening in this one as Jacob Brown sees the ball fall to him in the box.

Can't quite keep his shot down and under the crossbar despite protests from the Reading defenders of a foul earlier in the move.

    Brentford 0-0 Cardiff City

Fast start at Griffin Park where Brentford almost caught Cardiff City cold straight from kick-off.

Said Benrahma flashed a shot just wide of the right post with a half-volley on the edge of the box.

  14. goal

GOAL: Swansea 0-1 Blackburnpublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2019

    Danny Graham (4 mins)

We didn't have to wait long for a goal, did we?!

Blackburn Rovers, who came into this game on the back of four straight wins, have scored inside the opening four minutes at the Liberty Stadium.

After winning the ball back in Swansea's half, the visitors work it superbly to ex-Swan Danny Graham, who calmly sidefoots into the bottom corner.

  18. Goodbye to the Bald Eaglepublished at 19:42 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2019

    Birmingham v QPR (19:45 BST)

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at St Andrew's

It has not been the greatest week for Birmingham City managers.

Jim Smith's sad passing yesterday, at the age of 79, comes just days after the loss of Ron Saunders - better known for his success across the city with Aston Villa. But also, it should not be forgotten, the man who replaced Smith at St Andrew's in March 1982.

Tonight though at St Andrew's, when Blues play another of Smith's many old clubs QPR, let's hope the game proves an entirely fitting send-off for the man affectionately known throughout football as Bald Eagle.

For those lucky enough to have met and interviewed Jim, he was everything it said on the tin. A face and voice that encapsulated football. A genuinely popular man who might have looked like a harmless, dour, battle-worn former sergeant major but sure knew how to deliver a line, as well as prepare a team.

For all Jim Smith's success in hs own right as a manager, one of his happiest times was as Harry Redknapp's number two at Portsmouth in 2002-03 and Harry and Jim had Pompey top of the leagueImage source, Getty Images

For all Jim Smith's success in his own right as a boss, one of his happiest times was as Harry Redknapp's number two at Portsmouth in 2002-03 - when 'Harry and Jim' had Pompey 'Top of the League'

As far as Blues are concerned, admittedly he will always go down in history as the man who was running the show when the club's greatest player Trevor Francis left in March 1979. But, at the £1m price Forest were offering, he couldn't do much about it. And he didn't half find a worthy replacement - in Frank Worthington, who helped Smith's Blues win promotion back to the top flight in great style a year later.

Smith did at least later have the honour of buying Francis too, for QPR, in March 1988. But that's another story. And tonight, at kick-off time anyway, for Blues and Hoops fans united, it should be all about Jim.

    Swansea v Blackburn (19:45 GMT)

    Bradley DackImage source, Getty Images

Neck-and-neck are these two before their meeting at the Liberty Stadium with almost identical playing records.

Both played 20, both on 30 points and both with goal differences of zero.

But Rovers arrive in south Wales looking for their first win against the Swans since December 2011.

It could well be the evening to end that drought though with Swansea having lost five out of their past seven at home having previously gone 14 unbeaten on home soil in the Championship.

Rovers are also on a four-game winning run and have not had a perfect run of five in the second tier or higher since November 2000.

  20. Harris back in the big smokepublished at 19:38 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2019

Brentford v Cardiff City (19:45 GMT)

    Neil HarrisImage source, Rex Features

Neil Harris is no stranger to London, but perhaps more associated with the Woolwich Ferry than the Hammersmith Flyover as he prepares to visit the west of the capital this evening.

Harris brings his Cardiff City side to Brentford tonight, a ground he would've taken former charges Millwall to on frequent occasions in previous seasons.

Just a point and a place separates these two with the Bluebirds enjoying the advantage before kick-off.

Confidence will be high as they come into this one with three successive wins while Brentford are craving consistency again after two defeats in their past three.
