Huge shout for a penalty from the home side at Almondvale. A corner reaches Aaron Taylor-Sinclair and he tries the ball towards goal, but it looks like Sam Stubbs might've used an arm to deflect the ball wide.

Very good chance for St Johnstone to pull one back as Matty Kennedy beats the full-back for pace and bears down on goal, but the winger puts his shot into the side netting.

First chance of the second half and it comes from the hosts. Robbie Crawford has a deflected effort from the edge of the box and Hamilton goalkeeper Luke Southwood can count himself lucky as the ball kindly falls to him after he had already made a dive.

Ryan Hedges shows good perseverance down the left to cut the ball back and Niall McGinn meets it 10 yards out with a powerful finish high into the net to restore Aberdeen's lead.

Motherwell had started the second half like a train, winning two quick corners. Headers in the box have been their main threat this afternoon, with a goal already from that route, while Peter Hartley had a header cleared off the line in the first half.
So it's little surprise Hartley gets his head to a corner to bullet Well 2-0 ahead.
