There's been more touches of the ball inside each box than I expected.

It has been far from a classic - more Mr Blobby's Bumper Annual than The Great Gatsby.

Southampton pass the ball about at the back as they look to quell West Ham's momentum.

Ryan Bertrand eventually tries to create some bother in the Hammers backline with a ball to the back stick for Cedric Soares but his control lets him down and the opportunity is gone.

It has been a good performance by Sebastien Haller so far but he really does need a goal. After bagging three in his first three games he is now eight without one.

Excellent work by Sebastien Haller as he spots Antonio in space on the other side of the pitch. Antonio, though, handles as he tries to control the ball and the whistle goes for a Southampton free kick.

West Ham are on the front foot. If I was in the Southampton technical area, I would not be alarmed but it's not what I would want. You want to get St. Mary's rocking and instead it's the West Ham fans who you can hear. They're impressing at the minute.

Better from Southampton now as a Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg fires a cross into the far post for Shane Long, whose looping header is a bit tricky for David Martin but the Hammers keeper manages to hold the ball, with a little help from the crossbar.

A first corner for Southampton but James Ward-Prowse's delivery is dealt with by Sebastien Haller. Not a great set piece but it relieves some of the pressure the Saints' defence had been under in the first few minutes.

Robert Snodgrass swings in another West Ham corner - their third of the game - Southampton clear but not very convincingly as the visitors regain possession to put pressure on the hosts again.

Antonio is looking the biggest threat for West Ham at the moment. He is roving around the final third and pops up on the right where he fizzes an excellent ball into the area for Pablo Fornals, whose shot deflects just wide of goal.

West Ham are lively in these opening few minutes. Passing the ball around well. They try to get away down the left but Antonio's touch lets him down and the ball goes out of play.

West Ham have a goal ruled out inside the first minute!

Declan Rice nods in from a free kick but the linesman's flag was straight up. Replays show Rice was indeed offside.

No complaints from anyone with that decision.

Manuel Pellegrini is sat in his seat in the dugout, staring intently off into the middle distance. Just one win in West Ham's last six games, the Hammers need to turn things around soon.

Leicester City

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers: "When you play at home you always want to win. I think the players showed a great mentality. Norwich started bright and deservedly went in front but second half we were much better.

"It just looked like one of those games. It’s a point and we need to look forwards now. The players have been brilliant. When you are on that winning run you believe you are going to win every game but of course it does not work like that. We were not 100% on it. We need to set the reset button."

Aston Villa

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith: "Tough day. We got beaten 2-0. We gave them too much ball, we were not good enough with the ball and we didn't take our chances and they took theirs.

"Our overall performance wasn't what I wanted from this group of players. We didn't cause them enough problems today.

"The second goal was a bit of a killer but they probably deserved the win on the day.

"The players need lifting, we've lost three games on the spin but I just said to the players that a few games ago we were walking off the pitch at Old Trafford a couple of days after beating Newcastle and we should have got a win at Manchester United."

Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe speaking to Match of the Day: "It's been a really difficult run, a lot of soul searching has gone on. We've lost a lot of players to injuries and we had to step up to a really tough test today.

"We had to come up with something slightly different because if you do the same things you get the same result.

"In the second half I thought we were a real threat in the match and we could have scored more. Our goalkeeper at the other end made some big saves."

On Dan Gosling's winner: "I had a good view of the run from deep and he has this habit of finding a goal and finding space but it was a long, long wait (for the VAR check)."

Leicester City

Leicester’s James Maddison: “I think it’s two points dropped. We know Norwich are a threat even if the table does not show that. They are fighting for their life.

"It just didn’t drop for us today, it was important that we did not lose today. When the game is not going your way you have to make sure we did not lose and we managed that.

"Tactically we changed it in the second half and I think we dominated the second half. We showed such resilience as a squad, to come from behind is so positive.

"We showed character and desire in the second half to get back into it."

Norwich City

Norwich manager Daniel Farke on Teemu Pukki: "The goal was a fantastic pass and finish. It looks like he has fractured his toe which is a worry but if he had been fully fit he might have got those goals.

"He is in brilliant shape at the minute but he is in a lot of pain. The fact he wanted to play on shows his character."

Aston Villa

Aston Villa goalkeeper Tom Heaton: "I thought we defended relatively well in the first half. We were looking to improve with the ball in possession in the second half but unfortunately we got a bit more open after the break.

"They got the first goal and got their tails up and we were looking for a response. They went 2-0 up before we responded really. It wasn't a particularly good day for us in possession. Frustrating day all round.

"Jack Grealish was OK. These things happen. It was a penalty, would have got us back into the game but no issues with that. He has enough about him to pick the ball up and have another go again. It is just how it is."
