    Watford 2-2 Everton

This is a different game now with the Watford defence under relentless pressure from Everton.

It is like the teams swapped shirts as well as sides at half time.

  2. 'If Fabinho has touched him it's a penalty'published at 16:12 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Liverpool 1-0 Southampton

    Tim Cahill
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

In the first half, when the Southampton players had his hands on Virgil van Djik, that was a penalty, in my opinion. With this one, if Fabinho has touched Danny Ings, then it is a penalty. If he hasn't touched him then it is not a penalty. We will have to wait and see on that.

  3. Postpublished at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Liverpool 1-0 Southampton

Mo Salah has the ball in the back of the net and The Kop erupts.

Salah is offside - this 'goal' won't count.

  4. Postpublished at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    West Ham 2-1 Brighton

Dale Stephens is the first player in the book as he is penalised for a foul on Michail Antonio.

The goal has certainly lifted Brighton, are doing most of the attacking at the moment.

  5. Postpublished at 16:11 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Newcastle 0-0 Norwich

All quiet at St James' Park. No sign of a goal by either team.

Lots of opposition fans complaint here about decisions unfairly going Liverpool's way. As a Liverpool fan can't say I'm unhappy, if, as many says, the entire football establishment wants us to win the league so bad and will cheat for us. Or is it just sour grapes?

  7. RED CARD FOR BOURNEMOUTHpublished at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Bournemouth 2-0 Aston Villa

Uh oh. Bournemouth, as I said, have been coasting but how could this affect them as they are needlessly reduced to 10 men. Jefferson Lerma goes in late on Jack Grealish and is shown his second yellow card of the game.

The Cherries do have a two-goal advantage but are now down to 10 men.

  8. 'A great goal'published at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Liverpool 1-0 Southampton

    Stephen Kelly
Former Reading and Fulham defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

They've gone from having a possible penalty to Liverpool running up the other end with a sweeping move - a great goal from Liverpool. It was seamless, fantastic running from Andy Robertson on the overlap.

  9. 'Ings is fuming'published at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Liverpool 1-0 Southampton

    Karen Carney
Former England winger on Final Score

Danny Ings is fuming - he felt there was contact. From the angles we have seen we can't really tell, to be honest. But Liverpool do what they do - punish teams on the counter attack, and it was a really well-taken goal by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

  10. ouch!

Postpublished at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Sheff Utd

That's going to hurt! Christian Benteke and Chris Basham clash heads.

Basham has a grey bandage wrapped around his head as a result but both are OK to carry on.

  11. Postpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Bournemouth 2-0 Aston Villa

Confidence is flowing through the Bournemouth players as they pursue a third and Jefferson Lerma is not far off as he clips the top of the crossbar with a dipping strike from the edge of the box.

  12. CLOSE!published at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Watford 2-2 Everton

Everton go so close to taking the lead straight after the restart as a free-kick deflects off Craig Cathcart's face and just over his own bar.

  14. goal

GOAL - West Ham 2-1 Brightonpublished at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Angelo Ogbonna OG

    Lifeline for Brighton!

Very unfortunate for West Ham as Lukasz Fabianski punches a corner onto the shoulder of Angelo Ogbonna and the ball rebounds into the back of the Hammers net.

  15. goal

GOAL - Liverpool 1-0 Southamptonpublished at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Southampton want a penalty after Danny Ings goes down inside the penalty area but there is nothing doing and Liverpool are on the attack.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain darts to the edge of the penalty area and picks his spot before unleashing a low, composed finish.

Liverpool lead - and are 22 points clear at the top.

El Marrokk: Phew!!! We(Liverpool) barely survived that last 20 minutes of first half.

Shaheen Ashraf: What it is it with all these defenders scoring today Where are all the attackers??

Julius Caesar: Everton's first goal was handball. Everton's second goal was scored in the fourth minute of two minutes of injury time. How is this remotely fair?

  19. Postpublished at 15:55 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2020

    Newcastle 0-0 Norwich

    Alistair Magowan
BBC Sport at St James' Park

A smattering of boos as the half ends, quickly followed by a cheer when the home crowd learn Sunderland are losing.

Norwich are showing the greater endeavour, and have twice come close to taking the lead. Newcastle have been more direct and aren't quite clicking.

    Another injury-time winner?

Ryan Nash: Bournemouth for Europa league!!! Only 8 points behind.

MJC1973: Best an opposing team has played at Anfield this season. LFC lucky not to be behind as Southampton had most of chances. VAR decision on Firmino foul was rather strange though but LFC get all decisions don't they? Remember how we were criticised for moaning about Utd.

Josh Earl: Yerry Mina doing his best Rudiger impersonation!!
