Just looking at Sheffield United's two wider centre-backs, they are getting further and further forward.

The Blades are looking much the fitter side and Bournemouth players like Dan Gosling are blowing hard, mainly because they are chasing shadows.

And just as I finished writing that there were no sign of any changes from Bournemouth, Joshua King rises to his feet and readies himself to come on for the first time in 2020.

No sign of any changes from Eddie Howe so far. He will be pleased with how well his side have repelled Sheffield United but can the Cherries fashion out a chance of their own?

Lundstram is presented with a glorious chance to make an immediate impact but the substitute cannot find any power after Chris Basham does well to tee-up his team-mate inside the penalty area.

Sander Berge's hand makes contact with Diego Rico's face. The Bournemouth player lets out an almighty scream but, with the Cherries on the attack, play continues and Nathan Ake hooks just wide.

That's Berge's last moment of action on his home debut as Chris Wilder makes his first change and sends on John Lundstram.

It’s not often you see a player and opposing manager square up to each other on the touchline, but that’s just what happened between Bournemouth’s Andrew Surman and Blades manager Chris Wilder, with both men getting a yellow card and with loads of players from both sides getting involved.

There was some boxing at the Sheffield Arena yesterday with Kell Brook fighting and some home fans wanted some more action with a chant of “Wilder, knock him out,” followed by “Chrissy Wilder, he’s one of our own”.

Indeed he is, a lifelong Blades fan, former ball boy, ex-player and captain and now taking them to heights they couldn’t have dreamed of three years ago.

Anyway, back to the football.
