Jack O'Connell starts a lovely move which sees Oliver McBurnie tee-up John Fleck but his goal-bound attempt is blocked by Simon Francis.

Bournemouth are under pressure already.

Bournemouth are absolutely not out of it. We can do it week to week for some clubs particularly with clubs like Southampton and Everton.

They went through a horrendous injury crisis to major players and that is why they are where they are now. That is why Eddie Howe has had the belief and confidence, 'we will get everyone back and we will be fine'.

You have to scrap when you are down there, suddenly not everyone wants the ball when you are down there.

The home side get us under way at a raucous Bramall Lane.

On a freezing cold, wet and windy day the heat generated from the pitch-side flame throwers as the players walked on to the pitch was a very welcome relief.

This is today’s Premier League action and, for contrasting reasons, three points are a must for both sides.

Rob Fanner: I'd support Eddie even if we went back down to -17 in League Two. But that won't happen. He's the reason why this club is where it is, he's a true leader, and has to be one of the greatest managers of our time.

Eddie Howe is laid back at the best of times and you never really see him angry or display it outwardly, he manages his emotions well.

When big jobs like Arsenal are available, he gets linked with them. He won't like the fact they dropped into the relegation zone but bounced back. They had a really poor run in November and December that has caused him problems.

If it was someone else, his position might have been questioned but not Eddie Howe and he has ridden the storm well.

The sun is out in Manchester - two hours after monsoon-like conditions.

Meanwhile, it's still very, very damp in Sheffield.

These two sides first met on the opening weekend of this season in the Blades’ first game back in the top flight after a 12-year absence.

Chris Mepham smashed in a rebound after Callum Wilson's shot had been parried by Dean Henderson to give the Cherries a second-half lead before Billy Sharp, who had only been on the pitch for six minutes, bundled in an 88th-minute equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw.

Sharp, one of four Blades players still at the club after playing with them in League One three seasons ago, led crazy celebrations as the players piled into the joyous away end - and the club have not looked back since.

Win today and they’re two points behind Chelsea in fourth and a Champions League place. The Blades have never played in major European competition, but the fans’ hopes are rising.

Billy Sharp is still going strong at 34. He has been with the Blades throughout their climb from League One to the Premier League.

Today he leads them in a game which if they win will leave them two points off a Champions League spot.

Tim Durgan: Bournemouth should look at how Burnley have prospered from sticking with Dyche. Stability is important especially when the manager has proven himself already.

It’s raining again, but not too heavily and the ground staff have done a great job to get this match on.

This is a big, big afternoon for Bournemouth in their battle to avoid relegation. Including today, against sixth-placed Sheffield United, the Cherries still have to play all of the top nine - and none of the bottom six.

This is their fifth season in the top-flight although worried Bournemouth fans may like to know they have the same amount of points (26) after 25 games as they did three years ago when five wins and five draws helped take them up to ninth - their highest ever finish.

The biggest thing that's taken everyone by surprise is how well they've sustained their performances.

Comical scenes at Millwall where Storm Ciara is making her presence felt.

West Brom have taken about two minutes to take a corner because the ball kept moving. The Baggies have also hit a post.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe, speaking to BT Sport about the conditions at Bramall Lane: "Certainly on game day, if the pitch is very wet - which it is - you have to adapt. We are adaptable if we need to be.

"We are focusing on this game only and we want to leave it all out there on the pitch.

"The recent six points have meant a lot, but now we are fully focused on today."
