Before we all write this game off as an Arsenal victory, I'd like to remind everyone how that panned out back in February 2011...

Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Radio 5 live

Allan Saint-Maximin is the best, worst player you've ever seen.

In the first half he trips over the ball, then here he beats a man, cuts inside and whips a fierce shot onto the far post.

He certainly has an impact in any game he's involved in.

Mesut Ozil makes the run on the left but he's gone too early. He's offside.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was waiting hungrily in the middle to add a third.

  9. 'Ozil causing problems'published at 17:55 Greenwich Mean Time 16 February 2020

    Arsenal 2-0 Newcastle

    Lee Dixon
Former Arsenal and England defender on BBC Radio 5 live

Newcastle are just giving Mesut Ozil that little bit more space now because the midfielders are having to push forward as they look for a goal.

And that's where Ozil is flourishing. Now he's got more space and time on the ball, he's going to cause them more problems.

Ade: Arteta found the keys to the Newcastle bus and moved it at half time. Well done.

  15. CLOSE!published at 64 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 Newcastle

    HOW.

Miguel Almiron twists and turns on the edge of the box to keep the ball. He sees Allan Saint-Maximin in space on the left and feeds him it.

It's an early cross from Saint-Maximin and it catches out Arsenal's defence. Ciaran Clark has it at his feet in an unmarked position but he pokes it wide! Did it take a slight deflection?

Even so, he should score. BIG miss.
