Gareth Southgate is in the stands, plenty of players to keep an eye on even if most of Chelsea's young Englishmen aren't in tonight.

Fancy a reminder of the sides?

Rezaa: I can't believe I'm saying this but a full strength United team with Rashford, Martial, Pogba, Fernandez and a good right winger would make them a frightening side.

Sree: That’s a very uninspiring team selection there by Lampard. This United team is there for the taking and the man leaves Kepa and Mount on the bench. Hope he proves me wrong but this is a manager riding on club legend status rather than tactical capability.

Paul Pogba won't be making headlines on the pitch tonight, but there's a fair chance he'll be making them off it anyway.

His agent Mino Raiola has just posted this message on Instagram, saying "until now maybe I was too nice" to United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and making it clear that Pogba is not Solskjaer's "prisoner".

This comes after Solskjaer made it clear that the France midfielder's future was in United's hands, not his agent's., external

Liverpool are back in Madrid tonight preparing for a big game against Atletico tomorrow but they may have half an eye on this one.

If Chelsea fail to beat Manchester United, Liverpool are the first club to officially qualify for the 2020-21 Champions League group stages. Not bad by mid February!

Twenty minutes to go until kick-off at Stamford Bridge, I hope we are all more excited than those two there.

It's the games you don't expect which are often crackers. 3-3 tonight.

Katvik: I have been following Chelsea for many years now. This is probably the least impressive starting XI I can recall...

Bello: With the kinda line up these two teams put out, it doesn’t really look like it’s gonna be an interesting game, hopefully I’m proved wrong, only watching this game because of Ighalo.

Kepa is 25 now, make or break time for him at Chelsea? That's a lot of money to write off and who would they even go for instead?

  10. Has Kepa got a Chelsea future?published at 19:37 Greenwich Mean Time 17 February 2020

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

Lots of speculation about Kepa Arrizabalaga's future at Chelsea - and it looks pretty bleak for the £71m signing when he is left out of high profile games such as this one against Manchester United.

The Spaniard's form has been erratic and Lampard's decision to exclude him and prefer 38-year-old Willy Caballero will only increase the belief that Chelsea will be seeking a new keeper in the summer.

I mean, it's absolutely not fair, but this just goes round in a loop in my head whenever I hear Willy Caballero's name.

Man Utd to win tonight, Chelsea's team today (mainly the attacking players) looks woeful. Don't see them scoring tonight, and their goalkeeper decision is a bit strange. Play the most expensive goalie in the world or just sell him!

Manchester United have got good players - but they also have a lot of players who are underachieving.

Off the field, you can blame the manager but every time you play, you have to step up - and some of those players are top class players.

They have to grow in maturity and say 'we're going to take responsibility' otherwise no-one else will.

There are players in this team who getting slated every single week and the only way to stop that is by playing well on the field.

Interesting that Chelsea have gone with Willy Caballero in goal again tonight. We were led to believe that Kepa had been dropped as a bit of a telling off but would be back in the side but Frank Lampard has kept the Spaniard on the bench tonight.

Chelsea v Manchester United (20:00 GMT)

    Chris Sutton
Former Chelsea striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

We're talking about Manchester United being in a race for the Champions League, Burnley are only a point behind them. For the likes of United this season, it's been rotten in the league.

Take Everton a couple of months ago, how low they were in the table - now they are ahead of United. Burnley a couple of weeks ago, we were talking about a relegation scrap.

I think the pressure now is really on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to produce. He needs to make a statement after the break and he needs a win tonight.
