If referees weren't treated so abysmally at every level of football maybe you'd get a few more good ones. I'd much rather spend my weekend refereeing any other sport voluntarily than get paid to referee a football match.
Jack, London
Patrick van Aanholt (44 mins)
Great finish!
Patrick van Aanholt arrows a fine free kick into the top corner and there is nothing Martin Dubravka can do about that one.
Southampton 1-0 Aston Villa
Stuart Armstrong's shot is blocked as a James Ward-Prowse free kick is cleared only to the edge of the box. How Southampton have not increased their lead yet I do not know.
Burnley 0-0 Bournemouth
Half a chance for Bournemouth as Josh King manages to pick out Jack Stacey at the back post but his volley lacks power and is saved. Ben Mee then sends it long down the other end and Matej Vydra is in - Aaron Ramsdale does well to get out quickly and make the save.
End-to-end.
Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle
Crystal Palace come close again as Jordan Ayew bends an effort just wide of the far post.
Five minutes to go until half time.
Sheffield United 1-1 Brighton
Blades now win a corner after a strong run down the right from new boy Sander Berge, but it comes to nothing on this occasion. The home side ending the half on top.

John Jefferis: Pretty sure everyone involved with Sheffield utd would of been overjoyed with a final points total of 42 at the end of the season. Look like being there with 11 games to spare, amazing job by all involved with the club.
Southampton 1-0 Aston Villa
Jack Grealish slips in Mbwana Samatta with a lovely ball but Samatta is offside as he strokes into the bottom corner.

Since the goal, Brighton have dropped off again, trying to protect that equaliser. They've got to be a bit more adventurous, they've got to work harder.
Sheffield United 1-1 Brighton
Excellent break! Sheffield United have a corner which is cleared and Superman Dan Burn leads the charge downfield. For a moment it looks like Brighton have an overload but George Baldock just about clears it out.
Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle
A promising Newcastle move ends in disappointment as Nabil Bentaleb hits a first-time effort well wide.
Southampton 1-0 Aston Villa
This has become a stop-start game with Moussa Djenepo now down injured for Southampton. He's got a cut close to his eye after getting caught by Marvelous Nakamba.
Sheff Utd 1-1 Brighton
Garth Crooks
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker on Final Score
It was as direct as you get, Maupay was the only person moving towards the ball in the box and he puts it in the net.
Burnley 0-0 Bournemouth
It's by no means the worst VAR call of the day but the decision to rule out that Bournemouth 'goal' was another bad one.
The ball hit Phil Billing on the top of his arm/back after it was flicked on. He didn't know anything about it. It wasn't handball. In my opinion anyway.
Again, not what VAR was meant to be about.

George NUFC: Jamaal Lascelles and Martin Dubravka are possibly the biggest reason why Newcastle aren't currently in the relegation zone. Both top 6 quality, without a doubt.
Crystal Palace 0-0 Newcastle
Crystal Palace have seen more of the ball in the opposition's box than Newcastle but no goals yet. They've found Martin Dubravka in inspired form so far.
