Tyrone Mings is a busy man in these early stages, heading clear a succession of balls into the box from Southampton. He's currently down injured after clattering with the post when dealing with another delivery.

It's all Sheffield United - Oli McBurnie is close to meeting George Baldock's cutback but he can't get there. The wing-backs are everywhere.

Danny Rose wins Newcastle an early corner with a dart down the left but Valentino Lazaro's delivery is poor and Palace clear.

Decent stop from Nick Pope! The wind is already causing problems as Ben Mee misjudges a clearance, the ball comes back in towards Callum Wilson and he middles a volley on goal. It's hit hard but close to Pope, who saves well with his feet.
