Play continues with just a corner. Kelechi Iheanacho is back with us.

I've not seen any signs of a VAR check on this. David Coote may be on his dinner break, he is doing a double shift.

    Iheanacho is on his feet.

Ooooff! James Maddison lofts in a beauty of a pass, Ederson comes flying out, Kelechi Iheanacho is there, Ederson clobbers the striker just as they collide.

Penalty? I haven't a clue any more. The striker takes a huge whack.

    That is a big collision.

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 37 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Manchester City

This is a long way out, must be 30 yards on the angle, but James Maddison is taking the free-kick on.

And that's why! Whips it brilliantly over the wall and on target, Ederson has to fly across to push it out. Top save.

    Leicester 0-0 Manchester City

A draw would keep the gap between these two sides at four points. Manchester City are bossing possession (72%) but Jamie Vardy had the best chance so far, thumping the post.

Kevin de Bruyne lofts a free-kick over the bar.

  7. 'It's a pen for me'published at 17:59 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2020

    FT: Burnley 3-0 Bournemouth

    Burnley

Burnley manager Sean Dyche, speaking to Match of the Day: "It was a strange kind of game. You saw the momentum change with us in the second half because the wind was that powerful. I know you're going to ask me about some interesting moments, but I felt we had good control after that.

"I couldn't see [the Billing handball] from where I was. The players reacted, which isn't always a sign but it can be. It's a tough call. When it leads to a goal and it's an arm, it has to be given."

On Bournemouth's second disallowed goal: "It's a pen for me. His arm comes out into an unnatural position. That one I think was right."

James Maddison on the free-kick, into the wall and deflected into Ederson's path. Kevin de Bruyne had his hands up in the wall there, the ball hit them.

    No decision.

The Manchester City fans have been dishing it out to Manchester United, Uefa and, most recently, Leicester - telling the Foxes fans that Riyad Mahrez left because they weren't very good (I'm paraphrasing here).

Leicester's supporters respond... by chanting 'we're all going on a European tour'.

    Leicester 0-0 Manchester City

Manchester City keep the ball for an age, patient pobing opens up space for Benjamin Mendy but he can't find a man with three crosses back to back.

Leicester now have a free-kick in a great spot, on the D.

VAR was massive in that game. If you're just tuning in read the match report here.

  12. 'The first decision dictates the rest of the game'published at 17:55 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2020

    FT: Burnley 3-0 Bournemouth

    Bournemouth

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe, speaking to Match of the Day: "It's very difficult. I've got to be careful what I say. The first decision dictates the rest of the game. For me it's a clear goal. I think it's come off Phil [Billing]'s shoulder, and without that goal I don't think VAR get involved in the second.

"After that I think we were psychologically spent. It was hard for us to get back in the game, but I thought we did very well before that.

"I've seen loads of handballs this year and very rarely has one been given in your own box. They've been very careful in terms of decisions. Adam [Smith] says it hit him on the shoulder and I have to trust what he says.

"I've always been clear on VAR. I like the offsides as it's black and white, right and wrong. But I've always maintained the referee should make the final decision on the pitch."

Angus Robb: Shouldn't City be banned from European football for that away strip?

Andrew Hamilton: Can people stop trashing our away kit? We may need to sell another 20 million of them to get back into Europe.

Wonderful play from Kevin de Bruyne, who weaves across the park from the left and finds Riyad Mahrez, he cuts inside a defender, looks to shoot but then rolls it back to De Bruyne, who sidefoots wide.

    Brilliant play.

  15. 'Maybe it's time to change'published at 17:52 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2020

    Palace 1-0 Newcastle

    Newcastle United

Steve Bruce: "The better team won, we have had decent possession but we gave the ball away too cheaply especially when in good areas. We didn’t ask questions, maybe it is a time to change – we have to score to win a game. It was difficult with the conditions but we have no complaints saying the better team won.

"We started brightly enough, they are a big side compared to ours and our keeper has made terrific saves and was arguably our best player. But he will disappointed by the goal – well, I know he is by his reaction in the dressing room."

    On Valentino Lazaro red card

"With 10 seconds to go, does the referee really have to send him off? Is a yellow not sufficient? But rules are rules and we will abide by it.

"He played very well today, we didn’t find him enough – in wide areas, we ignored the lad. We needed to get it out to him, but he played very well.

"Our biggest problem all season has been evident – we have to create more of a threat in the opponents area – we have to look at it and analyse it, maybe change is sometimes for the best."

Ah what a chance that is! I was just thinking how quiet Sergio Aguero has been so far but one brilliant touch inside the area slots in Ilkay Gundogan, he has a clear shot on goal from only about 10 yards and he scuffs his shot straight at Kasper Schmeichel. Didn't get hold of it at all.

Really good play from Bernardo Silva down the left for Manchester City sets up a dangerous-looking attack but Kevin de Bruyne is penalised for a softish foul. The rain is battering down once again.
