More from Chris Wilder on whether he'll look back at how much his side have achieved this season: "When I've calmed myself down a little bit, in a couple of hours' time when I've got a bottle of beer in my hand, I will, because it's an enormous achievement. We're going to be a Premier League team next year.

"But we want more. We've had bad days, but we've took the game to the opposition wherever we've been. The boys want more, they're together. This club is in good shape, we're in a good place, and the supporters should really know that and appreciate what's going off in front of their eyes."

Other sweets are available. Jamie Vardy is lively as you like, finding space on the left wing now and flashing in a great low ball which is cleared from under Ederson's snout.

A real step up in quality in the late game here. Riyad Mahrez now dances on to his left foot, curls a shot in from 20 yards and Kasper Schmeichel has to go full length to his right to save.

  6. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 8 mins

    Leicester 0-0 Manchester City

Chance! Ah you'd have backed Jamie Vardy there!

He's played in one-on-one, torches Fernandinho for pace. Ederson comes out, Vardy clips it past him and is off celebating but the ball kisses the base of the post and comes out.

What a warning sign for City!

What a lovely ball again, think it was Youri Tielemans that time who plays it reverse down the line to free Ben Chilwell. The left-back powers into the aea but overruns it under pressure. Good defending in the end from Fernandinho. Bright start to the game.

  8. Man City fans making some noisepublished at 17:35 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2020

The away fans have already been making themselves heard... first singing "City going down with a billion in the bank", then about going to Wembley next week and now on how they signed Sergio Aguero and Manchester United got Phil Jones.

The Leicester fans have got a drum, which is annoying me already.

Lovely ball from James Maddison, scooped with the outside of the foot, finding Kelechi Iheanacho inside the aea but the ball gets away from him.

Excellent defending from Aymeric Laporte as one ball splits the City defence - Jamie Vardy is close to sprinting in behind but Laporte gets across to get a foot in.

  11. Boos for Mahrezpublished at 17:32 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2020

    Leicester 0-0 Man City

    Chris Bevan

There was a smattering of boos from the home fans for Manchester City's former Foxes winger Riyad Mahrez when his name was announced.

Mahrez was part of the City team that won here in the League Cup last season, but he lost (and played only seven minutes off the bench) when he came back here in the Premier League after his £60m move in the summer of 2018.

Sunrise kit for Manchester City today, and the visitors have had all the ball so far. This is a very attacking Leicester line-up, injuries have dictated that to a large degree.

  15. 'We have to show more quality'published at 17:28 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2020

    FT: Sheffield United 1-1 Brighton

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton manager Graham Potter talking to Sky Sports: "We've come back from two goals down in our last away match, and came from behind again. The resilience of the group is fine but we have to show more quality with the ball.

"We weren't as good as we'd like to be. We acknowledge we could do better in certain areas but it's an important point against a really good team. They've had a fantastic season. So for us it's a great point and we move on."

On John Lundstram's studs-up challenge on Lewis Dunk: "It was a full-blooded game at a proper football ground, but when I look at it back it looks a little bit, shall we say, violent.

"I don't want to get people sent off, that's not what we're about, at the same time it looks a bit of a dangerous tackle to me."

It's freezing cold at the King Power, it is still tipping down and I've just been deafened by the volume of the commentary of a video montage of Leicester's greatest moments on the big screens.

Time for a bit of Kasabian to finish off my ear drums while the players wait in the warmth of the tunnel.

  19. 'Nobody could have imagined where we'd be right now'published at 17:25 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2020

    FT: Sheffield United 1-1 Brighton

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United's John Fleck talking to Match of the Day: "I don't think anyone could have imagined where we'd be right now. It's been a great three or four years but we just have to keep going forward.

"Since the first day the manager got the group together, it's always just been about hard work and staying together as a group.

"We've kept a good base of the team together, very hard working players. The manager brings in great characters at the right time and we just keep carrying on. We just take it a game at a time. We'll see how far we can go, and just keep pushing."

Four years ago this month Sheffield United lost to Wigan, Bury and Rochdale in a League One north-west nightmare as Chris Wilder was on his way to winning League Two with Northampton.

  20. 'A perfect afternoon for us'published at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2020

    Southampton 2-0 Aston Villa

    Southampton

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, speaking Sky Sports: "An important victory. Our home record was not the best before today.

"The crowd was absolutely behind us. We have to show up and create chances all the time and do that you can be sure they are following and helping you. This was a great performance from everybody.

"We tried to hold them in their half and tried to play football in their half. The only negative in the first half was that we did not score more often.

"It was a perfect afternoon for us."
