The Leicester fans have got a drum, which is annoying me already.

Lovely ball from James Maddison, scooped with the outside of the foot, finding Kelechi Iheanacho inside the aea but the ball gets away from him.

Excellent defending from Aymeric Laporte as one ball splits the City defence - Jamie Vardy is close to sprinting in behind but Laporte gets across to get a foot in.

There was a smattering of boos from the home fans for Manchester City's former Foxes winger Riyad Mahrez when his name was announced.

Mahrez was part of the City team that won here in the League Cup last season, but he lost (and played only seven minutes off the bench) when he came back here in the Premier League after his £60m move in the summer of 2018.

Sunrise kit for Manchester City today, and the visitors have had all the ball so far. This is a very attacking Leicester line-up, injuries have dictated that to a large degree.

Sheffield United's John Fleck talking to Match of the Day: "I don't think anyone could have imagined where we'd be right now. It's been a great three or four years but we just have to keep going forward.

"Since the first day the manager got the group together, it's always just been about hard work and staying together as a group.

"We've kept a good base of the team together, very hard working players. The manager brings in great characters at the right time and we just keep carrying on. We just take it a game at a time. We'll see how far we can go, and just keep pushing."

Four years ago this month Sheffield United lost to Wigan, Bury and Rochdale in a League One north-west nightmare as Chris Wilder was on his way to winning League Two with Northampton.

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl, speaking Sky Sports: "An important victory. Our home record was not the best before today.

"The crowd was absolutely behind us. We have to show up and create chances all the time and do that you can be sure they are following and helping you. This was a great performance from everybody.

"We tried to hold them in their half and tried to play football in their half. The only negative in the first half was that we did not score more often.
