    Spain 0-0 Sweden

88% possession by Spain in the opening 10 minutes.

    That's decent.

Spain have won themselves a free-kick about 25 yards out. It's swept in towards Rodri but Sweden do well the defend that.

  2. 'I expected Moreno to start'published at 20:12 British Summer Time 14 June 2021

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on BBC One

Moreno has been impressive for Villarreal, he's scored a lot of goals this season. I expected him to start this evening, surprised not to see him on the team sheet.

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

Clever run by Alvaro Morata as he tries to get on the end of a pass forward by Torres but he's eventually crowded out inside the box by a couple of Swedish defenders.

Really good start for Spain, we are used to their tiki-taka passing but there is an intensity to this side. They are not passing for passing's sake.

Jordi Alba is up there as a winger. Both full backs are playing as wingers at the moment.

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

A really confident start by Spain. The corner comes in and it's cleared as far as Dani Olmo who lashes at it. High and wide. The home fans like it though. This is very positive.

Another lovely cross in to the danger area - this time from Jordi Alba - and again it results in a corner after coming off Marcus Danielson.

  7. Postpublished at 5 mins

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

Sweden haven't been able to get out of their own half so far. Spain are playing keep-ball with lovely, patient passing movements.

The centre-back pairing will be a cause for concern, especially playing out from the back for Spain.

Sweden are very organised and regimented. They will set traps because when you know your right sided centre half is right footed it blocks out half of the pitch.

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

Lovely delivery from Ferran Torres and it eventually goes out for a corner. Spain are very much on the front foot in these early excahnges.

  10. 'I fancy Spain'published at 20:04 British Summer Time 14 June 2021

    Sweden 0-0 Spain

    Rio Ferdinand
Former England defender on BBC One

I still fancy Spain, I think that they're going to come with that aggressive nature. Something that we're going to have to get used to, something different from a Spanish team compared to the past. But I think their quality will be the overriding factor today.

Nice, crisp passing from Spain straight away. There's a colourful atmosphere in the ground with plenty of backing for Sweden.

  14. 'Pedri is fantastic'published at 19:59 British Summer Time 14 June 2021

    Sweden v Spain (20:00 BST)

    Cesc Fabregas
Former Spain midfielder on BBC One

I love the fact that 18-year-old Pedri is playing. Like Arsene Wegner said to me, 'age is just a number. If you're good enough, you're ready to play'.

He has fantastic personality, he wants the ball, he takes risks, he goes forward, makes run into space and he works very hard for the team.

He's already played 50 games this season for Barcelona and he's been fantastic. He takes people on and likes to move with the ball. He has this thing that it feels like he's walking on water with the ball.

  15. 'A coin in the air'published at 19:58 British Summer Time 14 June 2021

    Spain v Sweden (20:00 BST)

    Guillem Balague
Spanish football journalist on BBC Radio 5 Live

Spain is a coin in the air. Heads, everything works, 6-0 against Germany. Tails we could lose 3-0 to Sweden. As long as it is entertaining it is fine, we will excuse them because it is a young side.

Both national anthems are belted out with passion and intensity and there's a roar from the boisterous crowd as the teams go for one last kick-a-bout before kick-off.

  18. What to expect from Spainpublished at 19:56 British Summer Time 14 June 2021

    Spain v Sweden (20:00 BST)

Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague explains how "aggressive" and "obsessed" Spain boss Luis Enrique has remodelled La Roja after the departure from the international scene of most of its golden generation, who won it all between 2008 and 2012.

Here come the teams. There's a lovely splash of colour with Sweden resplendent in yellow.

  20. 'Sweden have pace'published at 19:54 British Summer Time 14 June 2021

    Sweden v Spain (20:00 BST)

    Rio Ferdinand
Former England defender on BBC One

Yeah they're rigid and not what you normally see from a Swedish team, but what Janne Andersson has tried to do is introduce some young players who've got a bit of pace and can invigorate this team hopefully.

Isak has had a great season in La Liga, young player of the year over there so that speaks volume to what he's got.
