It was disappointing for Ethan Ampadu because it's the first time Wales have been in the Italian half for a while. Those passes need pinpoint accuracy.

Ethan Ampadu and Joe Morrell have just both given the ball away. Wales can't afford that.

In fact, Ampadu's pass was so wayward it was brilliantly controlled by Roberto Mancini. You never lose it...

This is hard going for Wales so far. They're barely able to get out of their half.

Italy are well on top and their dominance is ensuring that the home crowd are making this an intimidating atmosphere for their opponents.

Wales are very deep right now. They need the ball.

Italy are doing really well just keeping two or three men at the back and then pushing everyone else forward into the Welsh half. The two ball players Jorginho and Verratti are making it difficult for Wales.

It has been an excellent start for Switzerland in Baku but they remain one point behind Wales in the 'as it stands' table.

Turkey are heading out of Euro 2020 unless they can claw their way back in this one.

Part of the strategy from Wales and Danny Ward is to get the wingers Gareth Bale and Daniel James high and wide and try to win the flick ons and get the players in behind. At the moment it's not quite working out as they predicted.

A first half chance as Andrea Belotti is a whisker away from getting contact on a cross. Chris Gunter probably put him off a little bit.

Ethan Ampadu is in the middle of Wales' back three, which is very much a back five out of possession.

Aaron Ramsey is the false nine in a front three with Gareth Bale on the right and Daniel James to the left.

The 3-4-3 system is one Wales have used before, but only for 45 minutes in a friendly against Albania with Ramsey in this role.

Really compact defending from Wales so far.

Joe Allen seeing plenty of the ball.

Interesting to see how Italy have set up here. Emerson is high up the park for Italy and that's something Gareth Bale might look to exploit as the game goes on.

The return of PSG playmaker Marco Verratti will get a lot of home attention.

Verratti is a key man for his country and he has been injured since the Champions League semi-final.

He could be a player to watch today.
