Simon Gleave, head of sports analysis at Gracenote, says: "The Dutch team find themselves in the more favourable half of the draw. As they can avoid all of Europe's top five teams in the next three rounds, their chance of winning the competition has increased by about half from 5% pre-tournament to 7.6% now.

"The Czech Republic's chance of winning Euro 2020 now stands at 1.7% after they began the tournament with a 1% probability of achieving this.

"The Netherlands are strong favourites to win this according to Gracenote with 66% chance of going through to the quarter-finals, nearly twice the chance that the Czechs will progress."

The Czechs did a bit of everything in the group - win, lose and draw.

Patrik Schick scored all their three goals - but they lost their final game 1-0 to England.

The Netherlands got through the group stage with three wins out of three.

Memphis Depay scored the opener and Georginio Wijnaldum bagged a double as they beat North Macedonia 3-0 last time out.

The winner of this one faces Denmark in the next round.

The Netherlands and Denmark are both host countries so of course the game is in... Baku, Azerbaijan.

In yet another quirk of the strangest tournament I can remember, the Netherlands have to travel over 1,000km to Budapest for this game - while they hosted a last-16 tie of their own yesterday involving other countries (Denmark 4-0 Wales).

There's just one change to the Netherlands side who beat North Macedonia as Marten de Roon replaces Ryan Gravenberch.

There are three changes to the Czech Republic side who lost to England.

Jan Boril is suspended, Vladimir Darida is injured and Jakub Jankto drops to the bench.

Pavel Kaderabek, Antonin Barak and Petr Sevcik come in, while West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek captains the side.
