It's one of those where he wins the ball but in the follow through he's definitely caught something of Saka. There was nothing he can do, the momentum of him was going towards Saka and thankfully he's up.

I definitely feel like we need more running in behind this Germany back line. We've not tested Matts Hummels at all. So far he's dominated that battle with Harry Kane but it would be interesting to see how he reacted if someone with some real pace came onto the pitch.

Jordan Pickford was in outstanding form in the last months of the season for Everton and he has carried that into Euro 2020. He has yet to concede a goal and has made two vital saves today.

Atmosphere around Wembley is very tense. This Euro 2020 last-16 game is on a knife-edge.

Ruairi: Rashford is perfect for this game. He needs to get on. Now!

Sam: Sterling looks dangerous but NEEDS to release the ball earlier.. a few times he's not made the most of an opportunity. Where I feel Mount, Foden and Sancho would do better.

We've had an hour. How long does Gareth Southgate leave it before looking to his stacked bench?

Matthias Ginter to Germany's rescue. He wins the ball to prevent Bukayo Saka getting away. Catches the England player too. On the ankle.

He'll need some treatment, but I think he'll be OK.

It was good from John Stones. Just held his ground. The counter attack was dangerous. Havertz and Werner linking up again. But John Stones was fully in command. He shows Werner what he wants. He wants to go down the line onto his weaker side and once he's there he's in a commanding position.

When Raheem Sterling gets on the ball in space, Germany are scared. England just haven't managed it often enough. He has a dart, but is eventually tackled.

I think what he's done is Matts Hummels has stood his ground and they kind of clashed knees and Harry Kane has gone backwards. They can be sore ones those. He seems confident. He seems like he's alright.

Harry Kane comes to the sideline, but only to ready himself to go again.

No Dominic Calvert-Lewin on the bench remember.

Harry Kane is down. He may have jarred his knee here in a clash with Mats Hummels. Concerning.

Bobby Seagull: I am bit of a Pickford sceptic when he plays for Everton. However when he puts on an England jersey, he is something else. In Jordan we trust.

PS if we get to minute 115 without conceding, we beat the Italian defensive record at the championships.

It's really good from John Stones as well. Stepping in there, maintaining the attack.

Huge roars now. England are pressing.

Raheem Sterling can't get the ball through to Harry Kane in the box but after Germany clear John Stones steps in to keep England on the ball.

If England really push, this crowd will absolutely go with them.
