It's probably coming home.
Overly cautious Mark, Manchester.

It's been a disappointing start from Ukraine. Not just the goal, the intensity. They're not pressing the ball, they're just stepping off.
England look so comfortable in possession.

I love this position Jadon Sancho is taking up because it is offering a lot of width for Kyle Walker to run into.
Sancho is comfortable receiving the ball with his back to goal, he can turn and take people on.
Ukraine 0-1 England
John Stones fizzes it into Harry Kane's feet and he tries to flick it through to Jadon Sancho.
It's blocked and suddenly there's a Ukraine break. Andriy Yarmolenko has it on the right and tries to put a low cross in but John Stones is there to block it.

Steve K: Just when I thought that Ukraine were parking the bus and playing for penalties. We should get a bit of a game now.
Big Oot: Sterling and Pickford, the most controversial of all starters before the tournament… now carrying us to victory every game
Ukraine 0-1 England
Easy. It's handed straight to Mason Mount and he gives it to Luke Shaw, who switches it around the back.
England are so comfortable at the moment!

Paul: Kane was so much quicker over that three-yard sprint for the goal than he has been for the whole tournament - he's back!
Ukraine 0-1 England
Kalvin Phillips sticks a leg out to stop it coming over to Oleksandr Zinchenko as Ukraine try to get something started in midfield.
They are pushed back to the keeper and Harry Kane chases it down.

Credit again to Raheem Sterling, he has been doing this all tournament, asking defenders questions, saying 'I am going to run at you, can you live with me? And the answer has been no every time.

Thornts: FOOTBALL - it really is coming home!

Chris Waddle
Ex-England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live
They've done their homework England, they've pushed Ukraine from the off.
By the way, that finish, a toe-poke from Kane, those types of finishes are not easy to do.

It has come from the two goalscorers in the last game. Raheem Sterling does what he does best, driving at defenders. He found a lovely ball to Harry Kane and it looks like that goal against Germany has brought our main man to life. Take off time for Kane.
Ukraine 0-1 England
This has been far too easy so far. Ukraine have only just started getting a few touches on the ball now but John Stones is there to stop Roman Yaremchuk.

If you want to settle the nerves, that's the way to do it.
Ukraine are so deep, they've got no interest in getting out. This is all about Raheem Sterling - what a pass and a perfect striker's finish from Kane.

THE PERFECT START!
Harry Kane
YES!!!!!
What a start this is! Raheem Sterling pokes it through to Harry Kane and he keeps his cool as the keeper rushes out to stab it in from a few yards out.
That's another for Kane and it's a cracking start from England!

A nation expects. Can England deliver?
Despite it being nowhere near full, there's a great atmosphere in the Stadio Olimpico.
Ukraine 0-0 England
Luke Shaw tries to whip it into Harry Kane but it won't quite get there. England keep the ball though, and they go again.

I am feeling very confident about this group of players and the way they have approached this tournament and the manager in particular in the way he has isolated each individual game and this is another example of that.
