  1. 'Another challenge for the team'published at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2020

    Tottenham v Wolves (14:00 GMT)

Jose Mourinho has been explaining Hugo Lloris' absence to Sky Sports...

"Hugo Lloris doesn't feel in a condition to play. He's played a couple of matches with a little problem which he was able to hide, but this time it wasn't possible.

"It's another opportunity for Paolo [Gazzaniga] to play and another challenge for the team. [Lloris] is obviously a very experienced and quality keeper, but life is made of challenges and we know we will have to fight until the end of the season, and we play against a very difficult opponent, of course.

"Wolves are in the same race we are, so any result against Wolves will have an impact in the table, and next week is coming also a decisive Champions League match. A big challenge for the boys that are available."

Tom McQuillin: I’ll remind you of this tweet in 2 hours - Winks and Dier in midfield for a Tottenham is a disaster waiting to happen. I hope I’m wrong.

As a Spurs fan, my heart dropped when I saw our lineup; and I didn't have much confidence before.

  4. We have to fight for the title - Maticpublished at 13:13 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2020

The mood around Manchester United has been more positive in recent weeks following a seven-match unbeaten run.

A third Premier League win on the bounce today would consolidate fifth place and move them within a point of the top four.

But that is still not enough for Nemanja Matic...

“If you are fifth in the table, the balance is not right especially for a club like Manchester United. We have to fight for the title," the Serbia midfielder told BBC Radio 5 live.

"I think we have a lot of young players who need to show they have to show quality if they want to win the title.

“In the future, we will see if we are in a good way. I am not happy when we are in fifth position and I am always trying to win something. I think at the moment I cannot say we are in a great position but by the end of the season it will be good to see if we have managed to win something and finish in fourth.”

  12. 'We have not been afraid to target Europe'published at 12:55 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2020

Everton v Man Utd (14:00 GMT)

Talking of fresh air, Carlo Ancelotti has been a breath of one since arriving at Goodison.

The experienced Italian is having the effect desired by Evertonians, one which would be expected from a man with a CV which would would impress any CEO.

Positivity and instilling high expectations seem to have been the key things brought by Ancelotti.

"The table is tight and every point is really important. We have not been afraid to say we want to keep climbing and achieve European football," he says in today's programme notes.

"To think any other way would be to imagine you are going to lose some games and I cannot see any benefit from having that mindset."

    Tottenham v Wolves (14:00 GMT)

Tottenham striker Harry Kane is making good progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury but he remains out, along with Son Heung-min, Juan Foyth, Ryan Sessegnon and Moussa Sissoko.

An injury continues to hamper Erik Lamela, though he should be fit enough to again feature as a substitute.

Wolves are without wing-back Jonny, who was forced off against Norwich last weekend.

Top scorer Raul Jimenez will return after being rested against Espanyol.

Today's Premier League matches are part of a scramble for Europe which is more intense than a low budget airline flash sale.

A third win on the bounce for Manchester United will put them within a point of fourth-placed Chelsea, while Everton - just outside this graphic in 11th place - can move ninth.

Tottenham and Wolves could both move above Manchester United depending on how the games pan out.

Oh, and there's also the not-so insignificant matter of the season's first silverware up for grabs.

Today could sees the one-time master go against another pupil.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo sat on the Porto bench as second-choice keeper when Moutinho guided the Portuguese giants to Europa League and Champions League glory in 2003 and 2004.

Today he is trying to record his first victory as a manager over his former boss.
